Hello,
The topic title maybe bit confusing, I didnt goto disco crossdressed, lolz..

Well, yesterday I went to disco after its been a couple of days I am being a closet crossdresser, so what happened was that I kept looking at girls and their dressings.. I looked at their pants, their shirts, their makeup... something like... telling myself, oh look, she has applied a good foundation, how would she look without it...

and oh look, she is wearing high waisted shorts and she is looking awesome... and then, I was ordering a Jack Daneils to bartender and she was slim but curvy... and I was thinking, how is the world that she is so beautifully curved..

Lolz... I dont know if this happened to you too or was it just me thinking all this crap last night... :D

We were standing at a fast food restaurant last night and a women in front of us was wearing a skirt and black pantyhose, I told my wife, I could tell she is wearing expensive pantyhose by the texture of them and looking up her skirt I seen a little lump, almost like she wearing stay-ups. My wife asked me if I knew that because maybe I was wearing the same brand. It's so true, we start to notice things on women we would never notice before

Mines a bit different. I see a woman I'm attracted to and I think what would it be like to be with her, and what would it feel like to wear that outfit of hers. I'm still not used to it.

Maria OC your not that different. Quite a few here would think very much the same. Lucky us we can appreciate women from several levels. The male side can admire their beauty and have the desire to be with them while the female side can admire their style and desire to be like them.
So to the OP by observation we get style cues and ideas to help us develop our female image but be careful your observations are not misinterpreted.
Lucky us, we get the best of both in this topsy turvy world of ours

I do this a lot of the time, too, whenever I'm in public. Whether at a restaurant or a walk in the park, I usually find myself looking at how women are dressed and for clues as to what makes an outfit or makeup application stand out. My wife does this as well, and we just love sitting and talking about the fashions we see in women who walk by.

I think your thoughts are quite natural, when starting out we all want to make comparisons.

I totally agree. I'm always looking at women to see and understand how they are put together and present themselves in various venues. After all, isn't the female form what we desire to emulate? What better way to learn than by example. And yes, having some knowledge of apparel and cosmetics helps to better understand what they do to pull off different looks. I think it's analagous to most people admiring a really cool car versus a mechanic looking at the same car but not only admiring the curvey lines, style, and paint job but also appreciating what's under the hood to make it all work.

No big shock in this, honey! You won't develop style and fashion sense by looking at guys, now will you? I study women all the time, always watching to see what looks good and what doesnt, especially on those with a similar build to my own. Of course, it doesn't hurt that its also just plain fun to observe any attractive, and well put together person.
But, yes, we all, if we pay attention, learn by watching others.
