Ok..so here are your 2 choices.

#1. being a woman but only being able to wear mens clothes.

#2. being a man but being allowed to wear womens clothes and society totally accepting it as the norm.

TaraB

i'll answer first...

being a woman in mens clothes. I could live without the clothes but the idea of never being a woman is beyond painful. I've accepted it but of course hope my next go around on Earth that it will be corrected.:p

I have no desire to be a woman but I love wearing dresses so I will pick #2.

Amelie

#1, being a woman is more important to me.

I pick #2 first because I love the shoes too much to give them up,Second because I love my wife, children, and Grandchildren and wouldn't give them up for anything. Third because I feel as thou I have made difference in this world as a GM and Rena has also been a big part of that. Last I feel as thou I have been on this Earth before as a woman and it wasn't all good.

I chose #2. As much as I would prefer to have been a woman, I am not, and will probably never have the chance to transform. However, I would love to be able to wear a skirt or dress without the fear of having my head bashed in by some gang of troglodites.

Wow, that sounds like something a gender therapist would ask to see if you are truly a woman on the inside. That said, I have no idea what I would answer.

No offense, Tara, but this is a really silly poll. I picked number 2. It's like a no brainer. Why would I want to be a woman who is forced to wear men's clothes? Duh. I am already forced to wear men's clothes.

I invoke the fifth amendment on this one.

Michelle Cheli

I would pick number two because theres more of a thrill to being a man and wearing womans clothes than if you were a woman and wearing mens clothes.

Keely

So far on these last polls still in the majority.

TaraB

Paula...throw reality out the window.....the choice should not be rationalized by reality....your answer should come straight from your heart.

Miss Pinchy...hehe i was a Psych major.

Susan....its actually a straightforward question to get to the root of why you do what you do. What is your motivation. It was sort of brought up in another thread so i thought i'd find out if people were more interested in womens clothes then actually being a woman.

and no offense taken hehe...just trying to explain myself and my reasoning.

I have to go choice #1 because to me there only clouths. Yea I wear only woman's clouths but its just me being a woman ((in my mind at the very least)) I wouldnt have to wear them if I was female so I could deal with men's clouths.

I picked #2, because...

After living for 20 some years constrained by society or by myself, I would choose to live as a man who could dress however I want and be totally accepted for it. Besides the poll makes no mention of feelings and emotions.

I am learning to enjoy both sides of my personality. And being a woman forced to conform to some insane societal standards would be no better than what I have now. I am me, and would still be me if I had a female body.

I guess I just don't fit either category offered by society.

jeesh... it isn't about the clothes so much as it is showing the world who I am... Tough question.

I am who I am though, and deep down... that is far more female than male...

I voted #2 because I enjoy the male side of me but I also love the feminine side as well. I would not like to be a women full time.

I my self crossdress because I like to wear dresses and skirts and lingerie so I'll stay the man.

That is one to think on. But if and when i did have to really choose I would choose NO. One as i would and think i am supposse to have been and still am female inside as that does go. Nad i have also been female in many past lives's far more time then being male it did not always go well. BUt the time's i have been female it was far better then all of the male lives combined. I am the natural sex which is female to begin with anyway so being a girl is just the way i am suppose to mostly always be And somehow this time was cheated out of Oh well I would opt out to be female and if and when i did have to just wear male clothing then i would adapt to that But really you do not say why i would only be allowed to wear only mlae clothing so the question remains about that why is that. I just think and feel that be female is where and how i am suppose to be so i vote for one. Suzy!.

Definitively number2, The point of what I do is I love the clothing, never thinking on being a woman, and why become a woman if I cant wear dresses

bridgette63
01-27-2006, 08:38 PM
I'd pick 2, I enjoy being a man, but to be able to wear skirts and dreeses and be accepted in society... that would be perfect, beside be a woman and only wear mens clothes... what a bummer

TaraB
01-27-2006, 09:33 PM
i have to say i'm abit suprised at the degree of difference between people that identify themselves as male and love being male but love wearing womens clothes(85%) to the people that identify solely as a woman and wear mostly because of that(15%).

there is such a broad broad difference between a CD/TV and a TG. I never fully realized just how different we were until just now.

Ok..so here are your 2 choices.

#1. being a woman but only being able to wear mens clothes.

#2. being a man but being allowed to wear womens clothes and society totally accepting it as the norm.

i would definitely have to choose no. 2. i can not see why society would or doesn't accept this. why should women enjoy all the lovely outfits and acoutrments that the fashion industry generates. sure wish society would be more accepting in this case. hgz and kisses, Madelyn

I like being a man in women's clothes. I have no desire to be a woman. I'll pick No. 2.

TaraB
01-27-2006, 09:47 PM
an honest answer to that Madelyn....

society does not accept it because GG do not accept it. Women have a natural tendency of whats yours is mine and whats mine is DEFINITLY mine. Women generally have zero desire to share anything thats feminine with men....and that bodes double with fashion. Women also dictate what men wear. Men will do most anything to attract women. If all the women on this planet started thinking men in dresses/drag was what they wanted sexually every man in the world would be wearing skirts/heels/makeup etc.

There are women that are attracted to men in drag as far as sexually/physically but the ones i have know only are attracted to the ones that can really pull off the look (ie androginous/look very female). because its less distracting and more natural. Last thing most women want is a guy in drag who looks like a guy in drag...it just provides alot of embarrissment for them.

honest....but true

Hi honey, given the choice I'd have to be a girl in mens clothes, its gotta be!

Alystin
01-27-2006, 09:55 PM
I'd have to go with #1. Because I honestly don't understand how to be male, even though I am. And I don't need the clothes to be a women if I am one right down to the gene! i sorry I can't elaborate many more, it's just how I feel inside

#2 For me as well, for at least 2 reasons

1) I have no desire to be a women, I just like their clothes
2) If I'm gonna cross-dress, I'm gonna do it in a dress.

I chose number 1. It's the body I yearn for, what I clothe myself in is secondary.

TGMarla
01-27-2006, 11:48 PM
I voted for the second choice. Man, that was an easy decision. I've always held that it's not all about the clothes, that it goes deeper than that. And I truly believe that. I mean, wigs, breastforms, the makeup....hiding the boys.....face it. It's more than just clothes. But I like being a guy, too. And the girl thing? Heck, it may be more than just the clothes, but without the clothes, bay-bee, it ain't nuthin'.

I had to go with #1. while i am still trying to figure out my true feelings in regards to this whole thing i greatly desire to be female. I would just die if i knew that could never happen. I love the hope that i have right now, even if it never happens, i still have it and would rather not loose it.

I have NO desire to be a woman and even if I transitioned I would always KNOW in my heart and mind that I would never be a REAL GG. Maybe I'll get lucky and get born as a woman in my next life (if that sort of thing really happens) but until then I'm fully content to remain a male for the rest of this life. I especially wouldn't want to be a woman if I were limited to only wearing clothes that I could wear any day of the week right now. For me, being a man and dressing and acting like a woman (knowing full well that I'm NOT), especially in public, is a BIG thrill to me, as well as being able to personally enjoy the FABULOUS diversity of clothing that women can choose to wear.;)

TaraB
01-28-2006, 02:10 AM
its pretty apparent that alot dress for the thrill and have no desire to be female. I have to admit this is mind boggling to me. I am having trouble understanding it. I'm hearing people talking about taking hormones but still would want to remain a man. I don't get that at all. I want to make sure that you allunderstand i'm not critizing your decisions and i respect every individual for who they are and what they want but wow....i admit my extremely limited contact with other people in the CD/TG/TV/TS world is showing. One definite thing is i see the huge difference between CD/TV and TG's now. its almost like CD's/TV's are from Mars and TGs are from Venus type difference. hehe

anyhow thanks for the reply's ...its definitly been eye opening.

For a real TS being a woman (or a man for a GG) is more that just the clothing. I am number 1, being a woman is much more important than the clothing.

DawnRodgers
01-28-2006, 03:12 AM
There is no question that I love the clothes, the jewelry, the makeup, the overall appearance of being a woman but, frankly, i don't think I'm anywhere near strong enough, in mind and body, to be a woman 24/7.

I'd rather be a woman anyday, but the thought of having to wear mens clothes ONLY has forced me to vote 2. I want the choice and freedom to wear all those lovely femme clothes.

I LOVED this poll Tara! #1 for me. The question gets to the heart of what makes a person TG/TS or CD. A CD is motivated more about the look and self-constructed view of "femme" but is not terribly interested in being female. Everyone wants to be accepted as they are, even if they are "dressing up" temporarily. Those who choose option #1 and more likely to be TS or at the basic level TG. The idea of actually having breasts, marking "f" in the gender column, and potentially even the problems that females deal with everyday--even though wearing not-so-fun clothes is what drives us (TS) regardless of what clothes we wear.

What I wear does not define me, and honestly, I am not wearing heels and short skirts everyday (or even that Often), but I have no choice but to sit down to use the potty, ya know?

Gee, I didn't see this poll about bodies. All I saw was skirts vs. pants. So I do #2.

I chose option 2. I love being a man and would never give that up. If I could wear women's clothes occasionally and it wasn't a big deal...then I would definitely go for it!!

katewithcurves
01-28-2006, 04:40 PM
I would absolutely choose #1. I dress not for the thrill of dressing but to get in the character of being female. I know I'll never be one but to be able to stand naked in front of the mirror and see nothing between my legs and unadorned shape of my hips is definitely what I'd prefer.

Nicole Lee

Man with women's clothes. I just LOVE the clothes women wear .. I'd rather be that than have a woman's body and wear men's clothes.

I would just like to be accepted wearing womens clothing. I suppose after I'm dead and gone men will be accepted doing just that. Damn, A day late and a dollar short again. Ohhhh to be 25 years younger!!!!

TaraB

i dont really think acceptence of that will ever happen. History tends to repeat itself over and over and if history is the judge its not ever going to happen.

my opinion of course.

sorry guys.

Has to be the second option for me.
I absolutely love being a crossdresser, I always will.
But I love being male as well.
I've no desire to be female.
I wish I could wave a magic wand and let all the girls here who want to be GGs have their wish come true.

I picked #1. The poll questions didn't specify what type of male clothing - women can look good in jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, many other options. Makeup wasn't ruled out. I could make do just fine!
