Finally Did It!

Yep, I finally made it out last night. After years of dreaming about it and finding excuses not to, I finally made it out to our local support group.
Perhaps not the most sensational achievement, but wow, did it feel good. I have had an ear to ear grin all day!
Rachel, one of the girls who lives close by me and I were both thinking the same thing and we decided to use each other for moral support. So off we went and what a great night, we even ended up having a wander around the local housing estate with a couple of the other girls.
The strange thing is I didn't really get nervous at any time and now I have done it, I wonder what all the fuss was about! Mind you, I believe that is a fairly usual reaction!
Today the Nottingham Chameleons, tomorrow, the World!

I'm still grinning right now! And yes it was soooo much easier having Rachel to "hold my hand" for the first time, even if she was as nervous as I was.
