View Full Version : The Blouse that Wasn't

I wanted to share a funny story:

I have a (men's) black dress shirt that I've owned for a long time but only wore recently, in part because I didn't think it was my style. When my wife saw me wearing it yesterday, she told me the story of finding it in the laundry the previous week. It was slightly shiny and had subtle stripes, so she asked herself, "What's this? Is this a 'lifestyle' item?" 'Lifestyle' is the codeword she uses for my crossdressing. "Is it a blouse, and if so, can I wear it?" When she checked the tag, she was disappointed to see that it was a men's shirt. I told her, jokingly, that she "better stay out of my closet!" We both had a good laugh over the fact that she assumes anything unfamiliar in my wardrobe is "lifestyle" stuff, and that she wants to borrow said stuff. She said, "It can be like living with my sister. I get to double my wardrobe!"

Happy holidays, everyone!

Jamie, Cute story, my wife thought my selection of my winter coat last year was a little girly until she saw Lester Holt wearing the same style coat on the Today Show. My winter boots with a side zipper got her a little confused too, but I assured her I bought them in the men's shoe department. She doesn't mind using my pantyhose though when she's ruined her last pair. I like the term "lifestyle" as a codeword maybe we can use it. Hugs (another) Jaymee

So Jamie, you have a few hours to shop before Christmas. Go find your wife a blouse similar to your shirt. Sounds to me like she'll not only appreciate the gift but would be willing to share... :)

That's cute I wish my wife and I could share if she only knew. I think sharing would be great.

Jamie,

That is a great story! How nice it is to have an understanding & supportive spouse. Than is awesome. I love the 'lifestyle' code word! That make it so much more 'fun' sounding.

Kind of a similar situation here, when ever i buy makeup like a new shadow pallet, my girlfriend snags it! I then jokingly say to her....'stay out of my makeup'! We laugh, It makes it quite fun.

All the best to you

What a great story and your use of a code word is neat.

Merry Christmas to you and your family :)

Jamie,
If she wants to wear your guy stuff, let her. :)

JaimeG, my wife and I love shopping together and we still laugh about her inheriting some of my clothes ( she is too small for wearing my tops and blouses but wear the same size jeans). The only thing I have to go searching for are my earrings, she "borrows" them and never returns them. ( kinda like socks in a washer ? ) But i can't complain as we pretty much have the same taste in clothes and jewelry so it is a win-win for both of us.

Does your wife know that wearing your shirt makes her a crossdresser just like you. :) Hee Hee

Hi Jamie,

Great story. I can relate to the sharing thing as my wife and I share tops, sweaters and footwear so we kind of double our wardrobe that way.

Hugs

My wife and I can share most things. Sometimes she will wear a blouse of mine when we dine with friends. I like that.

Same thing has happened to me. I have a couple of really feminine looking and feeling sweaters, I mean they are easily passed off as fem clothes and that's why I don't wear them all that often while out in public while presenting as male. Even without a bra on these sweaters leave little doubt that I have as my wife would say "a nice pair of boobs". There is no hiding them when I wear these sweaters so I don't wear them without a bra, hence they only get worn when my wife and I are together and not expecting to see anyone that we know. I wore the one to the casino and my wife wouldn't stop snapping my bra strap while I played black jack, very hard to concentrate when that happens. Other than the sweater and my favorite girl jeans and the strappy sandals I wore you would have never known that I was a man, yeah right Sandra!!!!
