I've been out as TS to my family for quite a while now. Well yesterday, I expanded the circle a bit. I own a small business and I have a business partner who works with me and owns a minority stake in the business. I took him for coffee and told him all about Dianne.
He was pretty surprised, but in the end he said "If it makes you happy, and you still do your job well, that's all that matters to me." I'd mentioned that I hesitated to tell him yet because I'm still quite some time (6-12 months, I estimate) from going full time for various practical reasons. But he said he was glad I'd told him.

A couple of days ago, I emailed two sets of family friends this coming out email (http://www.crossdressers.com/forums/showthread.php?200698-Coming-Out-Letters-or-Emails-no-discussions-please&p=3664286&viewfull=1#post3664286). Within a day, I received replies from both sets expressing huge surprise... and total support and acceptance.
I'm now out to all my family and close friends. The next tier will be acquaintances, kids' friends parents, kids' teachers, etc. But that can wait beause I don't deal with them on a daily basis.
I have to say, the freedom is exhilirating. Not having to censor yourself when asked "How was your weekend?" is priceless.

Good for you and I wish a Happy New Year. I know what you mean about having to sensor your activities when talking to friends and coworkers.

Dear Dianne,
Your letter is amazingly-well written. It is informative, without going into unnecessary detail, and it is unapologetic, as it should be, while still being respectful.
Kudos to you and good luck with the ongoing reveal to a wider audience.
Best regards,
Cate
