View Full Version : Piloting and aircraft en femme

One of my hobbies is flying my airplane. Do we have any other fly-girls here? Do you ever fly en femme? What you're of flying/aircraft are you involved with?

I fly sailplanes and my aerobatic biplane. I have restored aircraft and have kit built as well.

Flying en femme is on my bucket list. I'm pretty sure my boy flight suit will fit ;) no heels though on the rudder pedals.

Aaand... this beats the "flying en femme" thread! LOL! Just kidding ;)
I guess I'll have to content myself with driving my car :D

That thread was my inspiration :)

We can always combine the two concepts and I can offer airplane rides to the girls here while I am dressed. :)

I have always dreamed of getting my pilots license, but keep putting it off. I wonder if I could get my pilot training en femme...combining two interests.

Aerotgirl, when I was younger I flew often in privately owned planes, with other pilots. We landed in large and small airports. One thing I noticed that I think might be of help to you. Many people have a private airstrip and if you housed your plane at a private strip you could go and land dressed any way you like. Hope you have a friend with such a strip you might use.

"If a woman wants to fly, first of all she must, of course, abandon skirts and Don a knickerbocker uniform."
-Harriet Quimby, first lady in the U.S. to receive a pilot's license, 1911

Never would I give up my skirts. I'll just keep them short enough that I can easily wear them underneath my flight suit ;)

HI Luvs: I have a private pilots license and an amateur broadcast license both of which I have enjoyed wearing a bra, panties and slip under my clothes , but sans heels , eye makeup , and skirts .

Piloted C130, and had to wear flight overalls.
Piper aircraft was just for some aerobatic fun, glad I didn't have fake boobs or wig on those days.
727 simulator flights was me showing off to wife, so no chance there.

Jumped out of a few, but again had to have the schools jump overalls on and god knows where my wig would have landed.

I've never done a biplane, wife says put it on my 50th birthday list

Yes fly enfem all the time, on the computer that is lol. I took flying lessons long ago but never did get my license
Had some great fun learning though. Once even got to sit in the right seat of a cargo DC3 from Dallas to El Paso while the co pilot took a break , he even signed my logbook for the time and all I did was sit there wow what fun.
So I just enjoy the flight sim fun but that's life
I do work around planes too have now for 30 years

I have a private SEL ticket, but haven't used it in years. Boring holes in the sky just got to be too expensive.

Thinking about it, unless someone comes along for the ride, flying makes me just about as isolated from other people as it is possible to get. Light airplanes don't commonly have mirrors, so who is going to appreciate my femme presentation?

I have my private pilot license and rotary wing license. What can I say, I am a helicopter nut.

How about we plan a fly-in :-)

We'd be the classiest group at Oshkosh or Sun-n-fun! :)

It's interesting to look at all the "affinity groups" that form in aviation. Doctor pilots, amateur radio pilots, women pilots, wheelchair pilots, etc. Why not TG pilots?

I have a commercial license and have often thought of flying en femme. I don't own a plane, so I have to rent from one of the FBO's near me. I don't know how it would go over if I were to show up as Jill. If I ever buy my own, I would happily fly dressed.

I love flying! The smaller the plane...the bigger my smile! I have been able to "take the wheel" a few times (nope...never in a skirt!), but never got any training. My favorite was a small, 3 passenger float plane on Roatan. It had 2 Bombardier engines (about the size of a snowmobile engine), open cockpit, and an ultralight frame. It was pretty much like a canoe with wings. I flew in it 3 times...before it crashed into the Caribbean! It was a big story; even made the Today show. He hit a mean downdraft on takeoff and couldn't recover.

I have a sel and mel ticket although most of my time has been in single engine aircraft. I have flown 152,172,177,206 and 310s and thats just cessnas, also time in pipers and 201 mooneys. I was thinking a couple months ago how costly crossdressing is and then i thought how costly flying is lol no comparison. I have flown dressed and yes heels are definately out of the question.

I would often fly my Cherokee while under dressed. And several times while fully enfemme. Some of those flights were at night, and I learned the exciting part was the drive enfemme to the airport. Once in the plane and off the ground--no one will see how you're dressed. One day flight was to Santa Rosa and I had to return earlier than I expected. That weekend my home airport was having their dad's day fly in. All kinds of people all over the field and yikes -- standing in my tie down spot. But no one seemed to care or notice me.

About 3,800 hours, gliders and I'm a rotorhead as well. But flying en femme - a slow roll and the skirt might fly up and I'd be IFR. OOPS! :D

Eryn, I love flying aerobatics...which is why I was wondering if we had any other taildragger pilots here. Glider aerobatics is something I haven't done yet but I have an interest in learning.

Has anyone been to Harris Hill, which is between Elmira and Corning New York? The topography creates a natural updraft that's great for sailplanes. It is also the site of the National Soaring Museum and overlooks the site of the former Schweizer Aircraft facility.

Harris Hill is about 10 miles east of where I am sitting, in my kitchen in Corning, right now...

Piloting pretty sounds like a fabulous idea as long as it doesn't become parachuting pretty.

There is an occasional Groupon for a $40 flying lesson locally that I may look into. Likely not en femme though!

I have the pleasure of beeing a crossdresser, and bring all my stuff while at work ;-) I once in a while fly wearing underware and stockings, it's a wounderful and at the same time scary experience. Maybe that's why I like it so much. Never been close to beeing caught yet ;-) But overnight stay i'm most of the time un Femme :-) And have sometimes been out to bars and restaurants that are crossdressing friendly Work for an Airliner in Europe ;-)

SMELS, CFI, Gliders, LTA, DC3 type rating. I own a Pitts S-2A. No aerobatics flying in skirts, the 5 point harness doesn't really work with a skirt.

SEL, MEL IFR and rotor VFR. Have tried to plan a way to fly en femme but there is just no way to get the heli out without somebody noticing. Even thought about taking the 414 up, put it on auto pilot, and then get dressed!

Wow!! I didn't realize there were so many here with wings! Great thread Dani!

I am a pilot myself, fixed wing SEL and fly my own Piper Comanche 180. I have not flown dressed but as I have travelled road trips dressed, I do plan the same in the airplane. For some reason that one I have been nervous about but after reading some of the posts here I'm getting a great confidence boost!

I absolutely LOVE the idea of a "Girl's fly-in!" I unfortunately wouldn't make it to anything until after the summer of 2016 when I return back to the US. I miss my Comanche and the freedom she brings -- for now it's a small Liberty XL-2 around the Okinawa islands, but flying anything is better than nothing.

Have fun with the aerobatics, I've done my share of those in military flight school and that is where I learned that I prefer to keep blue above me in order to keep everything in my stomach where it belongs!

So i saw some other aircraft owners, how many others do we have and where's others flying out of? I was flying out of Apple Valley, CA but now that is TBD until I get back to the US.

I've got just over 200 hours with my SEL. Unfortunately I've let me medical expire and haven't flown in a couple of years. Started working on my Instrument rating but burned myself out and never went back.

I flew under dressed all the time but never enfemme. I suspect the Air Force Flying club would have had something to say about it at the time!

...my own Piper Comanche 180....

One of my favorite planes! I had a friend who owned a 250 and we flew all over. He was a wheelchair aviator and had hand controls for the rudders. A Comanche is a fairly hot plane to fly so he appreciated having a co-pilot along. I didn't log the hours, but I got pretty good at flying a Comanche from the right seat. Only thing I didn't like about it was the landing gear, which was fairly fussy.

I wish I could get my license.it's just so expensive. It's always been a dream for me though. I have over 50 hours logged in a boeing 737 between FSX and X-Plane 10. I have the yoke and pedal set-up. I also have the radio stack and a four quadrant throttle. I'd really like to get a bigger computer and enclose the whole thing so I can get an overhead panel and a main panel from an aircraft junkyard and refurbish it and let a computer guy I know wire it to be plug and play for my computer. I've seen it done I just don't know how to do it myself.

300+ hours on R22 and R44, outback NT... Now, what's this license thing????

Cattle mustering, buffalo shooting - definitely drab only.... No real urge back then anyway.

I got in the flying game too late. Always had to rent, so dressing was out of the question. Rent is 5 times what it was when I got my Private ticket, so after an illness 6 years ago I hung my David Clarks up for some shoes by Clarks!😃

You know if it is a hot day you can keep your blouse in good shape by flying in just your bra. Not sure you couldn't get nice bikini lines too. I haven't flown in years. Biggest was a DC-6. With co-pilot and engineer aboard don't think it would have gone over well in the 60s. Always thought it would be fun to play stewardess back then.

When I was a kid I lived near an airport, watched airplanes come and go all day laying on the grass in the back yard, or sitting in class at school. All I wanted to do (other than dress) was to learn to fly. I did, and I have my single engine land (SEL) ticket, IFR and retractable check-offs, and close to a thousand hours in the left seat. Even got to fly a fighter trainer once! I love flying. It got me away from everybody and everything, and I felt a real sense of both accomplishment and freedom virtually every time I went up. It has been one of the great joys of my life. I sold my Cherokee this past summer, and now the only flying I do is as a passenger. And while I never flew fully en femme, I almost always flew underdressed, as I do now when flying on commercial planes. Thanks for bringing this up, tgirl, as it has sparked memories and yearnings to fly again. And Barbie, I will fly en femme with you any time.

I am sure a nice skirt in a 5-point harness would look good, Red, to your co-pilot!

Add another to the list. SEL, IFR. 4K plus hours. Flown underdressed, but not yet en femme.

Flown around most of the USA, Canada and the Bahamas. A much simpler way of traveling.

Put 50 hours in a Piper J-3, and got as far as solo cross country. (took lessons from a retired WWII fighter pilot, out of a grass strip in Norfolk, VA) Never went on to get a full license. Did get a chance to play navigator in a C130, from Wright Patterson AFB to Lajes Field, Azores, though and later that same year, bummed a ride from NAS Oceana to Ent AFB, Colorado in an F4F. Does that count? Never flew en femme - just in undress whites (Navy).

... Not to be a party pooper  but.... while you're all having a lovely, fluttery, flyboy/girl flying convo, there is so little here about Crossdressing you will all be better having further conversations in the Lounge or privately. :)

As a reminder to members old and new:

The Male-to-Female Crossdressing Forum is for "discussing all areas of Crossdressing" :rulez:

Threads that are taken off-topic by members responses - or in this case, do not feature the topic of the forum the thread is posted in - will have those posts deleted or the thread closed.

Too many posts to delete... too many crossdressing references to edit out and move to the Lounge... sooo...
