Hello everyone,
My name is Justice, I'm 21, and have recently come to terms that I'm transsexual and came out to my SO about two weeks ago. I've been on the crossdressers forum. I've been out to my SO about crossdressing for 2 years. She has been more than accepting and is very supportive. All we've done is talk about this. How we should go about it. What we should do. So here's my first question for the lovely members on this forum who have gone through/are going through this same dilemma. I have brought up HRT and she was completely cool with it. She is willing to help me through my transition as much as possible. She said she can see a difference in my happiness just with coming out to her and starting to become full time around the house. So my question is how should I go about finding an appropriate doctor to start prescribing hormones and monitor me regularly as I've heard that's needed.

Hi justice, I was in a situation very similar to yours a year ago. The first step I took was finding a qualified therapist who works with the transgender community. After I affirmed that I wanted to proceed with HRT my therapist recommended a very qualified local doctor. I have now been on HRT about a month and am happy with the steps I've made forward and healthcare I've recieved.

Hi Justice, Welcome to our little, but very weird club.
When I knew it was time for HRT, I asked my GP. I was very lucky that he knew the goto endo in the transgender field. I would guess that's as good a place as any to start. You may also try LBGT groups, and organizations in your area for recommendations.
Good luck, and hold on to that SO, you have a gem there.
