<Rant>sometimes even the most mundane search for anything to do with cross dressing will give 95% crap (p0rn).

if it is true that most (but not all) cross dressers are strait, then there must be a lot of men into cross dressing guys judging by the results. this is doing in an incognito browser, so search results are not influenced by browsing history. I can see where people would assume all cross dressers are gay (not that there is anything wrong with that, just not my cup of tea).

This site seems to be a rare gem on the web. I think it would be nice in the pinned section to have safe sites like this one listed that support healthy life styles and relationships. </Rant>

Rant away sister! I've had the same exact thought. It is so frustrating. I usually end up just window shopping on women's clothing sites just for this reason. *sigh*

Hugs!

Hi Kinkyboots

And I have to say I agree! I think the Web, especially, conforms to Sturgeon's Law - Theodore Sturgeon, American Science Fiction author and critic, 1918/1985 - which states that, "Ninety percent of everything is crap!" :heehee:

This site is indeed a rare gem, an oasis of sanity, information and advice, in a sea of trash and stupidity! A couple of years ago I tried a few “Date a Crossdresser” type sites before I joined Plenty Of Fish where I met my girlfriend… what WAS I thinking?!?!?!

I don’t think I EVER saw an actual Woman on any of the sites; the only people who EVER contacted me where other guys, either bi or gay, looking for a hook-up, not any kind of serious relationship.

Anyway, welcome to the site, enjoy your stay!
Paula

i can agree with you 100% kinkyboots. It really makes you feel like something must be wrong with you if you aren't matching that type of crap. This place truely is great.

paula, i had wondered what those dating sites were like. I kind of figured that might be what went on but never knew anyone else who'd be there before.

I totally agree on the site part...this place is the best on the web but I don't understand, are you implying that a Gay relationship is not a healthy life style

The web porn sites reflect societies repressed sexuality and stereotypes. The presumptions about CDers long predates the Internet. And I suspect the non porn parts of the web actually are helping better inform society.

The web is the illustration of american education today. A mile wide and 2 inches deep. At least we are not drilled to pass tests on it. There are bright spots, just as there are in most schools, but they must usually be sought out and vetted, nurtured, etc.

I admit to liking Google News for the variety, but i often wonder how much i miss. That said, anything i look into, i can usually find news on.

But yeah, the web sucks a lot. Kind of like the commute to work. Oddballs and idiots abounding. ;-0

I agree too, I have tried different sites and was really not interested in the type of responses I was getting. The world is full of strangeness and the internet confirms it. This site seems to be the rare exception. Hugs Jaymee

The Internet is a tool to utilize. What is good for one is not always good for another. Historically CDers are linked to porn and the like unless that ever gets changed. WE know the difference but your average Mr. John Q. Public doesn't, so take it with a grain of salt I say. :)

This site seems to be a rare gem on the web.

This site was just as bad 10ish years ago, it had no staff to really run it, so some of us volunteered etc.... now it's run with zero tolerance for anything that can and will make the transgendered community look bad, we try to keep it nice and clean so members will use it :) However we do sometimes get a bad apple, they get my boot :kickbutt:
