I would love to go play craps while dressed. I'm so calm while dressed and think it would make for an awesome night.

May go to the strip ... who knows.
Wondered about xdressing clubs and such?
Do not know if I want to dress to much ... just want to pass as best as I can.
In other words, not in DDDD forms,
tight top, and short skirt.

I would dress up, go gamble then go out and enjoy the lights, may go to a strip club, then go around looking at the sights and then come back and relax.

Don't know any specific places to recommend while "dressed" but if you want to do some sight-seeing, the tours through Hoover Dam are good, and it's worth your while to make a trip out to Red Rock Canyon, and walk down the little trail (very short - maybe 1/4 mile?) to see the petroglyphs. One caveat - if you go to Red Rock and plan to do any out of the car sight-seeing, wear white, long sleeves and long pants, and a hat with a wide brim. The sun can be brutal. It might not be so bad this time of year - I was there in August.
Just for fun, I stuck a thermometer in my hatband while I walked out to the petroglyphs, and tucked it under my shoe laces when I walked back. At my head, the temp was 112 F. At my feet, it was 135 F. It was astounding how much heat was reflected back up off the ground.
The mall at Caesar's is impressive, if you want to go drool on Gucci and such, and it is interesting to watch the statues "come to life" and to watch how the lighting changes inside to mimic the real sky.

Thanks Dorothy,
The weather will be nice 60-65 high and 40-45 low.
I think that is great.
Anyone else going to be there?
I am thinking about a makeup job and ???

I know that Harrah's promote themselves as being a member of LGBTQ (etc) travel association or something like that. Ultimately, a crossdresser in Las Vegas will rate about a 1 out of 10 on the weirdness scale.

Thanks Princess29,
I will look into it.
Have you been there?

My only time there en femme was a few years ago. I stayed at Harrah's next to Paris and across the street from the Bellagio and kitty corner from Caesar's Palace. I love Caesar's mall. You can spend a lot of time there and trying clothes on en femme is the best. I also went down to the new City Center a few blocks south of the Bellagio. That was nice and great for site seeing. In my opinion you may be safer at the mainstream venues along the strip. We ate at a great French Bistro in the Paris Casino overlooking the strip and the Bellagio. I think the Glamour Boutique does make overs y appointment. I have never been there. Enjoy your time their.

Thanks,
I have never seen a cder out on the strip.
But what I am hearing from you all it is OK and safer.
If I go that route, all I plan is just go out late ... 11pm if that is late in Vegas?
I do need to look up Harrah's.
Want to stay safe.

Hi Prene
I have been to Vegas on several occasions. The safest spot you can go is to see Amy and Jodie at Glamour Boutique store as Allie said. Its aimed at the transgender/crossdresser market and you can just hang out there, shop in their store or book one of their services that they offer.

Las Vegas is not one of my favorite places. My philosophy on going out is more about going places with lovely CD girlfriends and being the party rather than looking for one.

a wise choice.
anywhere on the strip is safe. Anywhere. No one cares. Behave like a civil person and you'll have a fun time. Every establishment on the strip has seen it before. Fear not

"... all I plan is just go out late ... 11pm if that is late in Vegas? ..."
There is no such thing as late in Las Vegas. They used to call New York "the city that never sleeps". Well - if that is the case, Las Vegas is New York on speed.

I again concur with many here Vegas is a good place to go dressed and blend. When my wife and I were there in Oct we even went to a sports bar and we were treated like anyone else.

two things to consider.
1) A Cder is just part of the show in vegas and about the only place you wont be on camera is your rooms toilet.
2) There is a lot of alcohol pumped testosterone at the weekends.
As such you should be pretty safe but consider week day/night outings over fri/sat, mid week is still busy for you to disappear into the crowd and feel safe but doesn't have the intoxicated groups where trouble may lurk at the weekends.
Ps i had no problems in TI, mirage fashion show mall and even drove out to a couple of DSW's and had dinner in a north las vegas Ruby Tuesdays. got more strange looks lugging our ski bag around TI in drab!

Charlies Bar off of Tropicana Blvd... very comfortable cowboy themed gay bar with talented bartenders, reasonable prices, drag show on Sundays and Drag Queen Bingo too.
Flex Lounge on Charleston Blvd.... divey looking little bar with okay bartenders, cheap drinks, CD friendly clientele, and the best, funniest drag show I have seen.
Fremont Street Experience... bars everywhere. Other people are your entertainment, and you are theirs. Strangers might just ask if they can get a picture with you if you look awesome enough or weird enough.

If you're nervous at all, Prene? The Fremont St. Experience is like Mardigras every nite. No one even batted at eye at Sherry there!

"... about the only place you wont be on camera is your rooms toilet."
I am reminded of a Julia Roberts line in Oceans Eleven - Tess Ocean: "Terry, you of all people should know, in your hotel, there's always someone watching." :)

Hell-o Prene,
Been there quite a few times, never dressed ( I had a REALLY long period of no interest)
But what others are saying so far makes sense. The strip is so full of people, all the time, you would be
the least likely to have a problem there, than at some off strip club.
The place Allie is referring to is named Mon Ami Gabi ( don't spell check that on me) at the Paris. Get a seat outside! Don't settle for inside.
There is the most awesome view of the Bellagio water show from this place, and the food is incredible.
Try the scallop appetizer... OMG! Save me seat!
Have a great time! Hell that's like telling the Pope to pray!
Let us know how it goes.
Much Love,
Kristyn
One more piece of advice... Don't match Tequila shots with someone twice your size at the Monte Carlo! Trust me on this one.

I go to Las Vegas a couple times a year and I've never had trouble and only twice have I overheard a negative comment, the last one at least 10 years ago. Most recently in December I spent most of my time in the Fremont street area. In the past I've been on the Strip, in most of the casinos, shopping in grocery and drug stores, visited museums, gone thrift shopping and eaten at both fast food and sit down restaurants, all of these things both alone and with others who were en femme. Go where you want and as long as you dress appropriate to your age and the activity, behave yourself and show respect for everyone else, you should be able to expect the same.

Its not called "lost wages" for nothing, I had to learn the hard way, now I just don't go. Losing money fast or slow is just not entertaining for me and those shows, way too expensive for my budget.

I rarely gamble.
Last time I was there I spent $3 on KENO when I was having dinner ... and won a free dinner.
Otherwise .... I agree.

Everyone is spot on. A great place to go be yourself. But I am the overcautious type, so I would say that I would stick to Fremont St or the strip in the real late or very early hours. There are some bars and associated areas off strip that could be questionable, so with so much to choose from, it is easy to line those out.

Las Vegas is not one of my favorite places.
Prene, all of the advice (except above) has been good. We're in our winter season, 40-60, right now but this weekend it will be in the 70's. Generally there's 340 days of sunshine per year. All of the resort personnel are aware that our guests are to be fully respected and acknowledged as the gender they project. And your safety and enjoyment are of paramount concern to the industry. It would take weeks to actually see everything in this town so prepare for sensory overload. If you rent a car, do be mindful of other drivers. It's a little wild on the roads sometimes but law enforcement is top notch. While you're here, if you get a chance, check out Saver's. There's several locations. Best damn thrift store in the world. You should see my closet!
I've heard a rumor that the slot machines closest to the lobby and guest elevators are tweaked to hit more often but, that might just be a rumor.
Anyway, come on! Have a good time.

if any of you have a nice nightclub/spot to go to where I can go, without to much testostrone.

Go any where do anything in the tourist parts stay out of the north town area. On Fremont street they there is performers and such a lot of people and always police around to stop altercations. Having lived here almost a year I can say you see it all and nothing seams to be off limits.
I will add flex on Charleston is a friendly club slow during the week. The weather here it is chilly at night and early mornings but nice during the day. And no 11 is not late here that's just getting started. There is a drag show divas of Las Vegas. I have not been can't say if it is good or not.

The Strip and Fremont St.
I enjoyed a walk dressed and chatted with some girls of the night.
I had my wife with me and it was a pleasant walk and interaction with the locals.

I have never seen a cder out on the strip.
If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does that mean it didn't fall?
I've done Diva Las Vegas five years running and have navigated the Strip many many many times, morning, noon & night, (over)dressed to the nines heading to an event and blendable to the point where I've been utterly ignored (but who knows what was happening in my wake).
Las Vegas is not one of my favorite places. My philosophy on going out is more about going places with lovely CD girlfriends and being the party rather than looking for one.
DLV is a place where you can do both. And for someone flying solo in Vegas (because we cannot always have our dearest friends in tow), there are plenty of places to go in Vegas.

No one can really say what is "safe" but I have done pretty much anything mainstream I wish in Vegas, table gaming, slots, Strip, Fremont Street, Fashion Show Mall, dining, dancing at Paris, lounging by the pool, etc. Even went to a concert at Caesars (helllloooooo Elton!!!). I have never had anything but a wonderful experience. I hope you have a fun trip!!!
