The real question is, would you ever drab dress again? That's a big NOPE from me!

That's a scary thought, but the answer is definitely yes.

Who knows? I do know that I am a dependent person. Dependent on other people doing their job so that I can do my job and that we all help each other live. That being said, I think that I would be doing a lot of worrying and work just to be able to live and stay alive. Other stuff may very easily just fall by the side. However, maybe once I got the survival stuff down to a nice routine, I would dress how I wanted when I wanted. Like I said, who knows, I will probably be long gone and dead before that fantasy scenario ever happens.

I think I'd be too focused on survival to bother cross dressing, and would be wearing very practical clothes like pants and shirts. Though a kilt or skirt might find use in that situation.

I could totally see you on top of a skyscraper in Manhattan, with a generator running a huge stack of Marshall 100w stacks, playing your ukelele and singing your heart out, dressed to the nines, with only the birds to hear.

''Yeah without doubt but will be there clothes ?''
a funny angle to look at is, if a child is born and grows up to associate with the other gender, as none of us know the cause obviously, but there was none of the other gender visible, how would they crossdress/transition?
scary thought

Like the 'Omega Woman' right...
A post-apocalyptic cross between Alice (Resident Evil) and something more outrageously glam and inappropriate for surviving an uncertain future... say, Alexis Colby from Dynasty (I'm obsessed with JC at the moment... it's the shoulder pads... ;))
In those circumstances (fantastical) I'd probably go all out on an androgynous look... and I'd have to wear boots... what does that say about me and my part-time-ism... hmmmm....

I sure would! I do it for me and enjoy it, just that simple. Besides who else would I have to talk to?

Oh, definitely. A different outfit every day. The shortest/tightest skirts, the highest heels and Victoria's Secret underwear.

Probably, after locating food, water, and safety from whatever brought me to that situation. But the question would be, "Why was I left here in the first place?"

This sounds like a "what if" out of the Twilight Zone episode when the avid reader, the last person on earth, broke his eyeglasses! There may be a short story to be written here.

I would have to think that under such circumstances, I'd have more immediate concerns.

I think i would dress however i felt best suited, it'd be easier without anyone to judge. Of course once you have survival equipment/shelter set up that is. Course it would get kinda lonely...

01-19-2015, 07:22 PM
Haha, I have thought of this so many times:P I would definitely dress up! But first I would establish a home base, gather food, and get all proper survival equipment, guns of course for hunting, teach my self how to reload, since all ready to fire ammo would go bad eventually. Gather gas out of pumps before the power goes out and I cant get them from the stations anymore. And of course after being all set up, I'd raid the mall:P I would try on everything:P I would get really lonely after awhile, but I'd figure a way to stay entertained.

Last person on the Earth - hmmmmm. I would quickly run out of make up and there would be nobody left to produce any more. The Internet would be nonexistent so there would be no on-line ordering. The shopping malls would quickly fall to ruins with no upkeep. I would be forced to find my own food sources and eventually create my own clothes. That means I would need to dress like Raquel Welch in her epic movie 1,000,000 BC. Nah-I could never pull off that look.

There was a science fiction film called The Quiet Earth where a guy wakes up to find he might be the last person on Earth. At one point he dabbles in cross dressing. Interesting little film with one of the most enigmatic final scenes.

Hell-o Nikki,
My very first thought was why dress at all (are you planting seeds in my mind Adriana? Damn you get outa my head!)
But thinking a while about it.. If I still had the time and dressing was an option... Hell yah I'd dress!
Why would anything else about me change once I came to accept that I was the last person on earth?
I'm still me.
Much Love,

I would have to think that under such circumstances, I'd have more immediate concerns.
Oh definitely. Finding toilet paper would be No1 for me, then selecting a 4x4 with a massive sound system. After that I'd select a beautiful country estate. THEN I'd start hitting the lingerie shops.

I'm sorry but... What exactly happened to everyone else?
That may change my answer, maybe, possibly..... Naaaaa, I'm still naked!
Damn you Adriana!!!

I'd have more pressing concerns beforehand. Like food and shelter. If the only leftovers of my size were female garments so be it.

Would we get to try on all of the clothes everyone else had left?? :battingeyelashes::battingeyelashes:
Cassie.
01-20-2015, 03:32 PM
Well first off I feel sorry for everybody else. There are some not so nice people out there but what about all the wonderful people out there too. I think I would still cross dress yes and there would be a lot more shops just there for the taking. Question is though even if you could still cross dress without anybody else around understanding of it or not would you not get lonely?. I know I would after some time.

01-20-2015, 05:57 PM
I probably would. I know it is all hypothetical but there would be new challenges to crossdressing, especially for those of us who cant find much off the rack (long tall) in local stores..........unless this happens after www.Amazon.Com is fully automated and a drone keeps delivering new clothing and shoes to my house!!

Depending on location, I'd probably just wear a birthday suit. AS far as food and that sort of thing goes, my first task would be to find a suitable source of water. Then I'd make a shelter, and after that I'd build a snare or two and make a spear, and a bow and arrows. Of all the necessities I can think of, fire and shelter are probably the easiest parts. (I wear glasses, and carry a Fresnel lens in my wallet, so always have a source of fire, if the sun is bright enough; and there a many ways to make a relatively good shelter, if you are in a wooded area. Actually, come to think of it, in the Eastern US forests, there are enough grape vines that you can usually get water from them, and that water is already filtered, and needn't be boiled.)

I think faced with the thought of certain extinction. What else is there to do but dress to the nines and wait for the enivitable. Unless, we still have people on the International Space Station. Then I'll dress and just wait for them to come back home. Well, someone's got to tell them the bad news.....

First would be the bigger issue of survival.
But after that, Sure I would still crossdress, that is who I am.
I don't see why that would change. :daydreaming:

LOL @ at all the "survival first" replies! :D
There are a lot of unforeseen consequences that go along with this thought experiment:
- no supplies (food, water, electricity, moisturiser, make-up.. you know.. the basics.
- no one around... so loneliness.
- zombies taking over (I take it there are zombies, right?)
But assuming the question is more about the crossdressing by yourself with no one around.. sure I would still crossdress. I love hearing compliments and appreciate getting feedback on my looks, but even without that.. I definitely would feel the need to dress.

Hi
I remember seeing a film called 'Night of the Comet' where two girls thought they were the last ones left alive. They hit a department store and went mad with the clothes. I thought I'd do exactly the same - women's department of course!
Question. If you were the last person left alive would it actually be crossdressing?

OMG! I've had this reoccurring dream that IS just this scenario. I would so totally dress, 24/7. Hair, makeup, heels (all except when doing physical labor--turn it down a bit then). I would be in all the stores "shopping." I would act just like the girls in "Night of the Comet" going from department store to department store with the biggest hair possible! This is one of my happiest dreams. :c9:
Hugs!

PS: I just saw Katie Russell's comment after I posted mine. That is the movie!
PPS: The movie in its entirety is posted on YouTube.

Last person alive? Why would it be considered cross dressing then? Then again if you're the last person alive you could consider it anything you wanted to.

Absolutely, and just think of the great selection of cloths in the stores. It would be a bit lonely though.

01-21-2015, 12:08 PM
Yeah without doubt but will be there clothes ?
Just think of all the malls and all the stores to choose from. Days of doing nothing but trying on everything in one store and modeling them for the mannequins.
Would I still dress... Full Time ... here I come.

For those of us who dress home alone, in the closet, for ourselves, of course we would. We have already demonstrated that it's not about other people.

I am so glad to see that so many others think about weird things like this as deeply as I do.
My only hope is that everyone just dissapeared suddenly and left everything right where it was and that there are no rotting corpses to contend with & no Zombies. Also I would hope they all took their dogs with them because last thing I need is a large pack of hungry dogs making me run in heels.
I would drive any car I found on the street (assuming they left the keys in it) to the nearest shopping center (Mall to some) and just live there till I had tried on everything.
Also a good abundance of food & drinks would be kept there in fridges & freezers and it would all be mine.
As for the power thing that someone mentioned earlier cause the power would eventualy run out or stop working.
My plan is to find a neighbourhood where lots of people got Solar installed on their roofs & just wire them all together. Make my own grid so to speak. Then with the abundance of car batteries sitting in abandoned cars everywhere & mechanics shops & Kmart etc I would make up my own storage battery shed & the solar would recharge it by day.
I actually know how to do this so I would end up with a pretty reliable setup.
My only concern, and its a BIG one.
There would be no one here to help laceup my corset for me.
WORSE STILL if everyone went at the wrong time there would be no one here to help me get out of it.
I could well end up the last person on earth permanently tied in a corset till it falls apart.
Thatsreally not afun thought.

If a crossdresser dressed up in a forest and nobody was around to see her, is she really crossdressed?
Yes!
See the 1959 episode of "The Twilight Zone" entitles "Time enough at last." :)
I was thinking of exactly this episode and then you beat me to it!
Yep, all dressed up and nobody to see it. Not for me.
Of course, add one more person and you get the 1961 TZ episode "Two" but I doubt that Charles Bronson would be very happy with me in place of Elizabeth Montgomery.
