When you are dressed en femme do you feel like a mature woman or more like a young girl? I kind of feel somewhere in the middle like a mature Tom Boy. Due to the liberating atmosphere I guess. What about everyone else. What do you feel like when dressed? :)

I'm very decidedly more like grown up woman. Thats how I see myself and how I want other people to see me.

The reflection in the mirror says womanly, but the rare occasion that calls for a LBD and heels feels otherwise. Kim

As much as I would like to look and feel "girly", at my age, that is unrealistic. Just like a genetic woman of my age, the skin and features are no longer right. I would hope to appear several years younger than my actual age but that's no different than what genetic women hope.

If I dress "girly", I look in the mirror and marvel at how silly I look. It took me a while to understand that it's how the clothes look on me that's important, not how they look on the rack or a store dummy.

Hi Kate, I guess it's more the mature (Mid 50ish woman) look at my age(72).

Usually, a women of my age minus 10 or 15 years. But I often do dress a little young if I going someplace where blending isn't super important, like a salon.

I'd have to say that I feel more girly than womanly.

Regardless how I present, there is a disconnect between how old I think I am, and my actual age. As a guy, thinking I'm 20 years younger than my actual age gets me into some difficult situations where the body simply can't do those things I remember doing so easily. As a woman, I look pretty silly trying to present as though I am in my mid-40s.

Best wishes

More girly than womanly, perhaps feeling half my age. From great distances, I might even look much younger.

Yes, I don't feel my age which is why I feel more girly and sexy. I do try when with a man friend though to try and be womanly but do end up girly too.

Womanly 'cause I'm realistic and maybe 'cause I lost my illusion - eventhough I still have illusions, I ain't lost everything.

Depends on my mood. I love being girly but can also be womanly.

Unfortunately at my age it should probably be "matronly", so I am quite happy with being a mature woman! :)

I'd Love to present as a Girly Girl I don't feel ready to step into Womanhood just yet.

More the mature woman but still not quite...lol.
I still have the 30's attitude to go with my appearance which is a little older.

Just an old broad here. Any girly thoughts or feelings are euphoric so I can't feel that way all the time!

More womanly. I kinda dig conservative look, granny chic, cardies, embroidery, etc.

Pretty much dressed age appropriate, I'm 33 and dress in what a female version of me would wear.

what an interesting question. I don't feel I've landed properly to know yet. Starting as a happily hetero married male, underdressing has given me access to my feminine side, a way of being more careful and gentle in the world.
The next step of going fully CD is happening now, and I'm not sure yet whether I feel like a man in women's clothing or if I'm emerging into feeling as a girlie-woman. Only now that i've worn the dresses do i get the wigs and the rest of the full CD deal ... so i think i have surprises in store and will await them at my pleasure-leisure.

I like to think girly but I'm really an immature older woman. Actually most of the time I just feel confused!!! Hugs Jaymee

Definitely Womanly. I have the occasional girly moments but my age tells me I am a woman not a girl.

Womanly for sure. But hey, I still feel younger than I am, but I am not a twenty something either way. Comfortable in my skin as a woman.

I would have to say girly at the moment. But with that said I also think I just dress the age group I'm at (early to mid 20's) or at least it seems that way.

Mid 30's dress sense , so knee length skirts , blouses , heels not too high but not flats , neutral or light makeup ......when does girly become womanly ?

I am seventy, but lookn younger (most people think I am in my mid-to late fifties, in male mode) so I can pull off maybe ten years younger. But girly? No way!!! LOL

Womanly here, I look and feel like a matronly woman, my actual age or even a little older.

I envy those who are older but feel young. Even when I was a teenager, I felt old.

The female feelings remain forever adolescent, say, 13 or 14. Perhaps that's why there's no sexual link to my gender dysphoria, it initiated before puberty. Really thought that might change as life went on. Do definitely 'girly'.

In my late teens and 20s Girly. It was fun wearing the fashions back then. Now I wear age appropriate cloths and blend. Doesn't mean I don't wear pretty lingerie and clothes.

Not a young girl (or girly) at all. More mature and very self aware.

At this stage in my life I have to say womanly. My style and interests has matured over the years. Feeling feminine is important!

The reality is a womanly thought process, but there's an old saying:

"Old enough to know better, but still young enough to want to play the game."

Age appropriate forty something woman...
but, not too womanly that I can't rock the 6" purple patent stilettos now and then. I'm not ready to send them to the thrift shop just yet.

Overheard in a walmart checkout line..

"Look mom, that man's dressed in women's clothes."

"Shh, that's not nice, don't say that."

Oh that's ok, that's not the first time that's happened and it probablyh won't be the last.

I like to present as a mature woman... maybe a male lesbian?

Kate Simmons

To paraphrase another expression: "Inside every mature woman is a young girl wondering what the hell happened." ;):)

Zylia

I don't think I know how it feels to be a girl or a woman. I hope I manage to present as someone of the feminine gender of about my actual age. 'Girl' might be somewhat condescending for a fully grown person, depending on the context.

I feel like a much younger woman but not a girl. Maybe at some stage I will have to accept the role of a mature woman but at present I'm still able to enjoy the feeling of a woman at the height of her sexual prowess and allure.

Womanly, without a doubt. but with the help of my SO, i still try to dress fashionably. she has a good fashion sense and i value her advice. without her advice i think i would look like an old 60's matron...

Maybe because my interest in women's clothes started at such a young age, 4 or 5, I was imprinted by the way my mother dressed, I prefer to dress as a women. Even when I was younger, teens or twenties I preferred a more mature look.

I think of myself as a big girl. Mind young & body old, I try but I can’t escape it, I am old.

I feel age appropriate when I dress as a woman.

Lacy PJs
01-21-2015, 04:25 PM
A lot of how I feel when dressed depends on how I'm dressed/what I'm wearing. Since most of my dressing involves PJs, some lingerie, tights & leotards, the style tends to dictate my feelings. And, my mood tends to dictate the style I choose. Shorty PJs or babydoll pajamas are much more girly than, say, more traditional pajamas or a nicer peignoir set. And a cami-style leotard with a thong bottom makes me more girly feeling than a traditional long sleeved, scoop neck style.

While I've not ventured far into shoes or dresses, I'd think that strappy sandals would make me feel more girly than conservative pumps and that a short, cute dress would do the same as opposed to a longer, more modest one.

So like I said, I think the way I dress determines the way I feel...

HollySmtms

The clothing I have now is aligned with my age, and my feelings of being, a mature woman. But a very excited mature woman who is discovering new things and enjoying the ride so there's still, what I imagine are, some "20-something girly" feelings in there. :battingeyelashes:
