I will be in Vegas the last week of Jan and I plan on dressing up for the very first time. I'm totally excited about it, I plan on shopping at Just You to get my outfits and look together. I really want to go out on the town in femme depending on my transformation. I'm 30 years old, 5'10 180lbs so I prob will not pass.
I do hope to meet some fellow dressers to go out with, I don't feel comfortable out on the town by myself. I will be staying at the HardRock, and I know the fruit loop of bars and clubs are near. Are there any bars/clubs that cater to CD's?
Again I'm super excited about Jessica coming out, I watched a ton of youtube videos on makeup and xdressing tips. So I think I'm ready! Does anyone have any tips or recommendations?

Jessica, Amy and her staff at Just You is a wise choice. They are definitely in touch with the CD scene in Vegas and will be very helpful.
Consider getting your feet wet and do the Girls Night Out with them.
Once you learn about your particular style and sizing you can peruse those sales racks at any department store anywhere.

I was actually just in Vegas over the weekend. I am about your size, just a little older, and although I would like to think I pass, I know that any more than a glance and I'm busted. I did not make it to Just You, I thought about it, but it didn't work out. I have been out to the movies a few times, but never any real interactions with people face to face. I was going to go to a show on Friday night, but I ran out of time while trying to get ready so had to go as my male self. Saturday night came though and I was determined to get out so I started getting ready earlier. The plan was to go se Penn and Teller. The problem was we(my wonderful wife was coming with me) couldn't pick up the tickets at the ticket window till after 7:00, and the show wasn't till 9:00. That didn't leave enough time to pick up tickets and then get changed, so I had to get dressed, ride the shuttle bus from Bally's to the Rio, get our tickets and then wait for an hour till the doors opened. The walk through the casinos wasn't all at bad, most people are so involved with their slot machines that they don't notice much, and believe me, unless you go out of your way to get noticed, even people who just arrived in Vegas will already have seen much worse/weirder things. The hour long wait for the doors to open was a little harder, I got a few stares, but I found that if you stare back, they look away rather quickly. The show was great, I even got to go up on stage before the show to inspect the props. The usher even called us ladies. After the show, we hung around for a meet and greet, which was a little unnerving(standing in a big crowd), but getting to meet Penn in person was a big boost to my female ego!
Bottom line, if you want to go out, vegas is a spectacular place to do it.
Have fun, just don't be stupid, and you'll be fine.
