So I negligently left some of my recent photos out in the open (I normally use a vault app). My mum showed me the photo and asked who it was. She was smiling and clearly did not recognize me because I was covering my face. I still have a DADETAI (Don't Ask, Don't Even Talk About It) relationship with her and thus tossed it aside as one of my seniors, now in university. She thinks the 'girl' dresses pretty.

In all honesty I'm scared to death of actually being outed as she does not endorse the hobby, and has reacted very negatively to any time I dressed for the sake of it. After all, she probably knows I do it anyway but doesn't like it.

On the other hand, I feel bad for not openly telling her. Which is odd since I eventually came out to her at 17 when it was obvious someone had taken her clothes. I did get a 'DON'T EVER' from her though.

I think you either need to tell her or be more careful about where you leave the evidence.

Well, since she knows anyway, why not tell her how you feel about her apparent disapproval. Just talk about feelings, hers and yours.

Your mother may have been telling you not ever due to the fact she thinks she is being protective.

I wonder if she knew it was you in the picture would she change her mind, or at least be more accepting.

Only you can know if telling her or having a discussion will be worthwhile.

My parents found out because of my ex-wife.

She got mad at me one day and kicked me out of the house and she said she took my clothes to my parents house. When I got to my parent's house I found out that she didn't pack my clothes, but just threw them into their yard.

If you are living in Don't Everland, then do not feel bad, the time may come when you can move on.

You're 19 and you came out to her at 17 which is two years ago. I'd say she knew it was you and has paid you a compliment. Perhaps she has come to accept the fact you are a cross dresser. She may not like the idea. Maybe it's time to have another conversation.
