I've got four older sisters, so I'm sure the avalabilty of female clothing must have had some bearing on my crossdressing.
It's therefore impossible for me to know if I'd have still been a CDr if I'd been brought up with brothers or as an only child.
I often wonder if my mother would have liked a "real" boy instead of all girls!

I wonder if there is more likelyhood of a boy being a CD or TV if his sister(s) are older than him than if they are younger? In my case Anne was 2 years older than me.

In the scientific literature on crossdressing (meager as it is), there is one result that has been replicated several times: that crossdressers have a very slight statistical elevation in the probability of being the oldest child, or the oldest son.

My conjecture is that this has something to do with the closeness of the bond between first son and the mother.

As I say this effect is weak and clearly does not operate in all or perhaps even most crossdressers.

I also think that variables like sibling order are very "chaotic" (in the sense of chaos theory) such that it's nearly impossible to predict in a given case where things will go.

My mom did get me started but to my knowledge she doesn't know that it went beyond a halloween costume at age 9
