Went to a guitar show yesterday (buy/sell/trade thing) and it was one I hadn't been to for a couple of years.
Rolled my hair prior to going,a hint of eyeliner, girls jeans(skinny) and girls top.Ankle boots with a 3 in heel.
Walked around trying to sell a few items and no real reaction from anyone of the patrons walking around.
Found a dealer I had bought from before and chatted for a minute no outward reaction but I could tell he noticed.
His wife walked up from behind and went behind the table and sat down.
She did the look over like women do and smiled. I left and looked around for a while and ran into her as I was taking a smoke break outside.
She came up and said You know I saw Greg talking to you and I didn't recognize you at first and thought who is she?
We chatted for a min and she said I love your outfit its really cute, I would wear that and your hair looks awesome.
She asked me how long I had been growing it out and other other more clothing related type questions.
I came out to her and she was super cool and said do whats right for you honey thats all that matters.
So no real moral of the story here just another gender expression experience.
No tranny police anywhere!!

I think that when she told you that she would wear that, that is the greatest compliment a GG can give you. I would say you had to be looking not only passable but good too.

The things I enjoy most are guitars, walking around in heels and dressing. Now if I could just the nerve to get out but I am so glad your day went well. Sounds like the lady was very accepting..

Thanks ladies.
Funny how I really didn't give much of a thought as I got dressed. It was just another day as far as preparation went.
I dress that way all the time where I live. As I was driving 75 miles to the show it dawned on me that I probably shouldn't have done the eye liner and boots and just worn sneakers.
It all worked out OK tho'.
I stopped at Skyline Chili on the way back and there were some rural families in there and I did get some odd looks but that was about it.
The waitress commented on my ankle boots and said she had some similar to them and pointed out the differences.LOL
She was super nice so she got a very nice tip.

Cool! Its Skyline time. I play the guitar. Any good deals? I had seen there was a guitar show there the week before when I was in Cincy. I go to Louisville every year for the Abbey Road Fest. It is pretty. I go in Drab.

I find in my travels that there are a lot of women that want to get to know us better...Men.not so much! lol

Men either don't notice or care.

I think it's a woman's thing, many intimate conversations with women though.

Hell-o Traci,
Sounds like a very rewarding encounter, and a amazing day .
The few times I have been out, it does seem to me that it is women
that are more comfortable talking to me, although a few men
have been just as open as the women.
You just never know who might be open minded.
Thanks for sharing your day with us Traci.
Much Love,
Kristyn

Didn't take any pics sadly and I'm sorry I didn't.
CarleyK there was some cool stuff at the show but I only sold one of the 4 guitars I took up there so no extra cash for any of the good stuff.
I wish I had rented booth space this time my feet were killing me after an hour or two.

Back in the 80s with all the Rock bands an all the dressing up they did you were under dressed. Maybe they thought you were an ex member of Ratt- White snake, Journey? You never sweat anything anyway. You just Love the Girl talk. Next time you can lean on the makeup an take it to the limit.

Hell your already WET might as well jump the rest of the way in the pool. There is a fine line on presenting female an looking Crazy. I think you pull the female part off great. No need in wasting time an good outfits. You might have sold out dressed right?

Tracii G

I never thought about the helping sales part Stacy.
You might be on to something there.
@ Liz I don't wear a bra in 50/50 mode.

Well, you could just do ONE form in honor of 50/50. Don't know if it should be left or right, though...
