I graduated high school in 2011 and with my newly found sense of freedom, I decided to grow my hair out... all the way. When it finally got past my shoulders something magical happened, everyone who was 5ft or more away from me started mistaking me as a female, even when my face was clearly visible.

I was dressed as a male and wasn't trying to fool anyone, but, was happy that I could just by simply growing my hair out.

Has any other M2F(or F2M) had an experience like this?

I can't say I ever had that experience by just growing out my hair. However, I did come up behind these two people standing by a light pole one evening. I said, "excuse me ma'am, do you know where the ladies room is? He turned around sporting a huge beard and in a deep gravely voice said F--- you lady." I thought, OMG I am dead! Well, "she" did have beautiful middle of the back length blond hair. :o

A couple weeks ago I saw someone who I thought was a girl. Even facially I couldn't be sure unless I was close. Do you have fine features?

My hair is about 1 1/2 years long and get "ma'amed and miss'd" all the time now in mail mode. I do not mind that at all and get a lot of laughs on a regular basis.

MentalCookie, I couldn't beleive when going over your measurements. We could be body twins. The only differences I saw,was I am half in taller, feet are 3 1/2" wide and I have shorter black hair. Had long hair back in the 70's,( but everybody did back then),and was mistaken a few times. Then sported a ponytail and goatee from 1999 to 2010, but never seemed to be mistaken at that time.

You must be about 20 right now. If you don't take HRT I think you will find that your face takes a on stronger male character during your 20s, so that hair alone won't do the job.

I am actually 22, but, people mistaking me for a 15 year old is not uncommon for me.

well im going on 50 and still told i look 35.my prob is i stand 6',250lbs,and look like a natural bbw when shaven. i dry shaved for yrs and can grow a decent mustache,but the beard growth sucks..i did this to seperate cheryl from terry. as for shrt hair had a few jobs collar length,for most times its shoulder length

It happen often enough, especially from the back, that it didn't even phase me after a while.
All through my 20's I had long wavy/curly hair down to my waist/lower back. Basically same as below, except dark brown.

I wouldn't rush to put a guy in the Gender-Bender/Queer/F*ck categories just because he has long hair.
There are plenty of biker, headbanger, alt types, ect. that just have long hair. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. :heehee:
