Hey there I'm getting a makeover on Friday with a photo shoot. I'd like to stay made up and go out, even if its just getting gas or a cup of coffee. Anyone familiar with bethlehem Pennsylvania that knows any safe places to go during the day? Does anyone have any outfit ideas? As you can see from my pics I love heels and I love my legs but I know that can draw attention. I was thinking maybe an office look as if I was headed to work or something. Please help me out. Thanks.

Hey Erica, wow, have a blast! I know nothing about Bethlehem, but if you're all dolled up and looking your best you won't want to feel constrained in where you go to afterwards. That does not necessarily mean you need to go jeans and tshirt, but your clubbing stuff from your photos would rate to draw undue attention and potentially spoil your day. So, you might think about heading to, say, Kohl's, TJMaxx, Nordstrom Rack, Black and White Market, etc., and find something smart and chic. If you have an outlet mall nearby that would be perfect, both before for finding an outfit and afterwards for your post photo shoot shopping fun. Consider also shopping at the really high end places. Even if they're beyond your means when you're professionally dolled up you can go and look and have fun.

Remember: No photos = it didn't happen. Hugs, Michelle

I’m not familiar with Pennsylvania at all.

However, I have been out to department stores at night, including just last night. (I’ll be posting pics in thread here soon.)
It seems like it is almost normal to see GG’s dressed up real nice at the most ordinary places since those around may not know if she is on her way to or from a party or some other event. So I utilized that theory in venturing out for the first time in a dress, an LBD to be exact. I had enough leg showing from my dress to my 4.5” Mary Jane heels. I’ve only been out during the day once, and that was to the fuel pumps.

It sounds like an office-look would work really well.

Hey Erica, first off have fun with the MUA while getting made up. Before they start work on you, ask them to critique your makeup job. Keep your ears and eyes open and your mouth shut except to ask questions. You will never feel so good as having all the attention.
As far as an outfit, what are the ladies your age wearing to go in for a makeover or shopping in general? Your look shouldn't be that far off from them. You want to look good, not radically different. If your clothes don't fit the general look, they will draw attention to you for the wrong reason. Go simple and have fun!

Erica, When I went to True Colors I stayed at the Sands Casino Resort, which is nearby. There is a mall in the building and lots of restaurants. I was not enfemme when there, but I'm sure it would be an OK place.

Go casual, less likely to be noticed, or is that what you want?

Erica

I assume you are going to Amanda's. Say Hi to her for me, and have fun.

You're looking pretty hot in your avatar anyhow, so you could probably go anywhere.

I've been to Amanda's, but I don't know very much about the Bethlehem area, because I got in the night before and had to head home after the photo shoot. But I know that there are a couple of TG groups in Phili, but I can't find their names right now. Worst case, ask Amanda. She is one of us, you know.

And again, have fun with the photo shoot. It's the best money I ever spent.

What Steffi said ^^^
Amanda is awesome; she did my first ever makeover on me at Keystone. Ask away; she's free with tips and advice. Have a great time!
