After all the fun I had on Sunday I thought I would go to the casino after work on Tuesday for another free dinner as I still have comp I can spend there. The day at work is chaos, its ok makes the day fly by, but at the end of the day, I’m in the office handling the phones alone it happens every Tuesday nothing new. There is a service call that was not done so I will have to cut out just before 5 to handle, sucks. I get a call, it’s an emergency and has to be done now. Our tech that handles this area is still out on vacation and all the other techs are tied up or know better than to answer my call. I will have to do it also. It’s a 45minute drive one way and it turned out to be a 40minute job, so it is well after 7 by the time I get home. I’m not going to let this stop me but is the universe trying to tell me something? I get fully dressed and sneak out the front door carrying my shoes, after 9. My roommates have not seen me dressed. Arrive at the casino about 10 at head straight for the ladies room, the one all the away in the back as it always has open stalls. The café is busy and I would have to wait for a table so I decide to sit at the counter, I don’t mind that everyone in the café will be walking right by me. In the casino it’s busy also, I find a machine I like to play, I play it for awhile, get to a point where I’m up 10 dollars, It’s late so I think I’ll stop off at that this new bar I’ve been going to for a beer on the casino, Their only 3 so yes I could buy more than one if I wanted. Think triangle, the next to legs will be 30 minutes. On the way to the bar I pass thru the little town of Solvang that rolls up it’s sidewalks around 6pm. It’s just a few lights, I’m almost to the other side and there’s a CHP watching traffic. As I go buy I see him pull out. There is one car behind me. We are out of town speed limit 45 and he turns on his lights. It’s a two lane road the car behind me pulls over and the CHP goes around, I was going the speed limit and they weren’t so he’s a ways back. He is coming fast I pull over and he pulls in behind me. My purse is next to me and I take my licensee out, I know better then to move around to much so I wait for him to walk up before reaching over to the glove box for the insurance and registration. I roll down the passenger’s window, thank g—for power windows. He asks for the papers I reach over open the glove box and hand them to him. He tells me my tail lights are out. I tell him I had hit a deer and had just fixed the headlight and it must be a fuse. He goes back to he’s car, I’m looking thru the manual for the fuse location. He returns says he is not going to give me a ticket but I shouldn’t drive the car all the way home. I tell him I would like to just drive another mile to the gas station where it would be safe for me to look at it. He says that’s ok but don’t drive any farther. I did and it was just the fuse, got lights. I wasn’t bothered that he pulled me over, after I saw him all I could think is I’m glade this happened before I got to the bar and He’s cute. On to the bar I get there it is after 12 and it’s closed. The girls when I was there before said a bar down the street was reopening. It’s an old bar that has been there forever. I pull up and it’s open, there is a younger crowd. I that a seat at the end of the bar and have a two beers before closing. 1:30 I drive down the street to J in the Box for coffee. In the drive up, she says they are out and it will be 5 minute wait. I tell her I will come inside, she says she will start a fresh pot. I’m sitting enjoying my coffee and cheesecake and the cashier says “see isn’t worth waiting for fresh coffee” I have to agree it is. I make the 30 minute drive home, remove my shoes and sneak back in.

Sometimes life is good. Love Jean

Wonderful story but I'm tired just reading it. Busy day but sounds like a lot of fun, except the CHP part. hehe

Charlene, that is what I wanted to get across. It was a long day but it went by very quickly. I'm comfortable being Jean and no longer really care who finds out. I don't feel any need to tell everyone as I'm not 24/7. Being pulled over was just another part of my day, and he was polite and cute. Love Jean

I enjoyed your story and especially the positiver interaction with the LEO. We are not bad, just a few jerks in the pot and like the rest of society they react and respond according to the other people involved. My compliments to you for the way you handled it.
