So the weather is warming up here in the North East and Summer is coming YAY !! ... my question is with the weather warming are you going to be dressing MORE or LESS ?? Any change in your routine ?? Do you show off those sexy legs ? Or hide them for the summer ? Do you put the clothes in the closet ? Or just pull out the summer dresses? What about your legs ? Baby oil them up? Or to you let them grow? My motto always is as the temperature rises , so does the skirt length...what about you? Any change? xoxo

No big changes here. I keep the legs smooth and lotioned up all year round. I do wear womens shorts instead of leggings though.

I don't usually dress more in the summer as I usually wear shorts and get my legs tanned. I love the sun on my body so if working outside I usually take my shirt off. I grew up doing this and will continue. It seems I am more manly feeling in the summer months. I know the sun they say is harmful for the skin but I turn a golden brown. My mom was a very dark skinned lady. I guess I inherited that from her. I have started using some sun protection but with very low numbers.
I tend to dress more in the cooler months as I am inside more. With that said and if I was out to the public I'd be the one wearing the mini skirts or skimpiest bikinis in the summer time. I would have my nails a totally hot pink and very long nails. Blonde long hair and pose for a sun tan companies commercial... Lol

I generally have more time to dress during the warmer months, which is kind of a PITA being as it tends to get between 100-110 where I live. So it is super hot and sweaty! Especially with the wig! Ugh!!

I haven't dressed in a month, but that will change within a few days. :) Now that I have already shaved my legs and arms, I'm already prepared to dress more and learn make-up. Knowing the weather unpredictability in Singapore, shorts and thigh highs wouldn't work in my favour as much as jeans do despite the former being my preferred look (I like to show my legs).

Mostly more. That is, skirts and shorts, I don't wear lady's tops, though I'm experimenting with dresses, and Indian style robes and tunics. Still trying for enough courage to wear a skirt at work, even though I've been given permission. A lot of the guys are wearing shorts also, though mostly the below the knee style, I specifically bought the lady's version, because it fit better, and came 2" above the knee. One of the women called out "Nice legs!" the other day. Wearing them on the bike yesterday, when on a shopping trip, I had the cuff turned right up, turning them into short shorts, need to work on the leg tan!

Summer dresses! Summer dresses! Summer dresses! As often as possible. now that I am older and greyer, my leg hair has mostly disappeared and what remains is white. So shave chest down to bottom of bra, and go!

I've had workmen in my house for months, which has put a serious damper on my dressing . However, with the finishing line now within sight (about one month), I'm looking forward to dressing regularly again.

I've got a few new things that I've been putting together, so really excited about the coming months. Need a new pair of block heel sandals, as my last faves had a fashion blow out two weeks back. Looking to get a seaside visit done, Brighton is nearest, plus a night at the Way Out club in London for starters. Bring it on! :)

Adriana, I find myself more in boy mode at this time of the year...working in the yard, playing golf, etc. So many other distractions. When September come around, a month-long pink fog usually rolls in with it...

It really depends on my mood and what I am doing, right now I'm trying to get up on some outside chores. Once that is done or I need a break I will be dressing as a woman. I need to go out and pick up a dress I had ordered and I went with free shipping and had it sent to a store.

I don't know yet. This is my first year of upgrading to CD from underdressing, so time will tell. Presently, I've been xdressed so much I've blown my bubble, with 3-4 months of almost continuous female attire, and I feel rebalanced to be able to flexibly choose which gender to dress as or to mix and match. Right now I've just changed into mostly male clothing to play some sport, but my vest is femme. As I'm mostly dressing andro in public to save my SO's feelings, I think it will continue like this - but defo short skirts/tunics for the summer are my main priority!

I've got the clothes, got the shoes...bring on the sun! So much nicer to stroll into the city without being hidden under a coat!

Only changes for me are in the wardrobe dept.
Heavy skirts and dresses are put away and it's time for my capris, skorts, shorts and of course short skirts. Have to change out my shoes and clean and store my boots while I get my sandals and flip flops out.
Now for some tanning on these long legs and a celebration of the sun.

The only thing that changes, is I have to keep the a/c on when I want to dress up; those wigs are HOT. I remember hearing women complain about their long hair feeling like having a blanket on their heads during the hot weather. Now I understand.

I tend to dress less during the hotter months. No need for it to be any more unbearable as it is. I still try to dress here and there but I look like I am melting, which isn't far from the truth.

It is getting hot here. I do like to wear shorts a skort or short mini. Tall heels and yeah I like to show off my assets. Got to say though, having long hair is pretty hot in the summer. Almost always have it in a pony tail. Yet it is really nice in the winter. Keeps your ears and neck warm. It's getting time for swimming. A nice cover with a bikini and a nice picnic at the lake.

Equal, is that an answer?
I usually dress wearing high neck tops or what have you since I've a bit hair on my chest and shoulders, also I don't like my forms poking out of my tops.

As for my legs I usually wear jeans or a skirt and tights so I don't have to shave my legs.

The least altering to my male self makes it easier to switch back and forth but it leaves clothing variety limited. I don't want to shave my legs incase in male mode I want to wear shorts etc

To be honest, not at all, for six weeks, due to hyper stress from my extremely toxic family of origin. i have never been closer to suicide, either, have made plans.

I totally understand the need to be able to switch, but no-one has ever mentioned my shaved legs. In fact, my arms and hands are shaved at the moment, plus my eyebrows are always plucked and neat. Neither has received a mention but each to their own comfort zone. Lord knows I have mine.

I am looking forward to wearing my maxi dress and walking along the south coast more than anything else at the moment.

A lot of my dressing is underdressing, so the summer months takes away from that. Plus more busy in the summer months.

I dress more in the summer. The heat makes male clothing just that more unpleasant.

No dressing for me when the mercury goes over 70*. I HATE HOT weather even in guy mode.

I don't think that there is much difference. I go out once or twice a month, so I don't think that that would change. At home I dress (neck down) 2-3 times a week. That probably won't change either. I love high heeled wedge slides and have 7 pair. GREAT for summertime! I have a couple pairs of Columbia women's shorts (5" or 6" inseam) that I wear in DRAB. Had a guy tell me that I should be careful as it might excite the old ladies too much. Wasn't exactly sure how to take that...

I'm with you, Joni!
When the weather gets into the 80s (70 or below would be preferable) and above my desire to go out dressed drops. This week it's already in the 90s. I definitely dress less often in the Summer (aside from wearing a skirt at home, without wig, forms, makeup, etc.).

The weather only affects my choice of outfits, not the frequency of dressing. I wear a lot of shorts and tank tops as it warms up, but also some maxi dresses. My legs have been shaved for 15 years....nothing changes there.

if i had your shape and beauty i would be in a bikini for sure!!
but i kinda prefer the cooler weather for going out as i can wear layers
which hides my extra padding... i will still dress, just won't go out much
in july and august. :)

I'll be dressing about the same amount of time as usual, only it will be capris, tanks and flip flops. Leggings and boots will be put away till fall.

I don't like it not either as a man or woman. Prancing around in a wig, foundation, makeup and bra is no fun if it's hot. In addition, although I'm shaved all over, if I wear sleeveless or low cut my manly arms, shoulders and neck negate any attempt at being feminine.

I wish so much I could wear a sleeveless summer dress...sob, sob...

Hi Alice - I'm alarmed to read your comments about thoughts of hurting yourself -
- please take a few deep breaths and sit yourself down with someone you can trust, just to lay out all the things that are weighing on you - there are tons of people available to help with this area; if all else fails (and even though we don't know each other personally yet) I'd be happy to talk with you by phone and help you find what you need - do please protect and care for yourself - Hugs - Diane
PS - I tried to PM you about this but the mailbox is full; I'm posting here, instead, because I really want to make sure you get this message fast!

Just say I'm dressing more and enjoying it WAY more! Down here in FLA, there's not all that much difference seasonally, other than we don't wear a lot of woolies.

I dress every day because we are not allowed to go around naked, darn it! ;)

I've hit a dry patch, not dressing at all, in fact I've let all my hair grow to prevent me from dressing, I even have a beard, must admit it's getting hard, I'm thinking about it more and more, trying to stop for a while, it was getting out of hand and taking over my life, I will dress again, so it's just a matter of when, for now I'm just a big hairy bloke lol

I don't think this is season dependent for us Brits... the benefit of a temperate maritime climate - there had to be one benefit... :D

It's more other things for me - I'm now 87 days without femulating... but I plucked my eyebrows yesterday and my legs remain shaved now all year round, soooo.... this holiday weekend may see a change in me... ;)

At what point do I have to turn in my union card and false eyelashes...??

Adrianna,
I have been hairless for years as far as my legs go.
I have never had a comment about them just that they are skinny legs.
Suits me.
I won't dress any more frequently as I am presently 24/4 or more anyway.
I do have to go out and earn a wage so I don't let that bother me too much.

I sweat terribly when it gets warm and wearing a wig and forms just insulates me even more. When I get out in the summer, it has to be early or late because otherwise I have streams running down my face and and soaking through my clothing. As long as I can stay in the A/C in my house, I'll still dress, but it's likely that I'm going out en femme less frequently as the temperature rises.

The weather does not affect how often I dress en femme, but it does affect the kind of clothes I wear.

If I ever get the courage to go out it won't be summertime in Florida. With all the stuff on I would burst into flame.
Indoors with the A/C set at 68 degrees for me. Dressing more this year so far.

You ought to go shopping, Alice. Shopping always makes me feel better. Spring dresses are so pretty--and comfortable. I like to see your photographs. We both like classic dresses.

While still dressing every day, I suppose I dress a bit less being busy with outdoor work when home. I do enjoy the change in weight of fabrics and long and colorful lightweight summer dresses are fun and easy to wear. I find that if I do want to wear a light cardigan, the a/c runs more. After a long winter, the summer colors and fabrics are a very nice change.

I feal ur pain. I too live in Florida. I love the tight lil dresses. My problem is that my arms are completely covered in tattoos. so unless it is long sleeve which would be hot. I don't think I can pull it off. Though my wife and I will go out in public. I just have to find my style first.

I definitely dress more in warmer weather. During the winter months I feel like bundling up in sweaters and warm clothes and wearing a skirt or dress feels too cold for me

Spring and fall are probably the best times (for me, anyway) to dress in the midwest (US) - warm enough for skirts, cool enough that a wig is still ok! I'm looking forward to this summer though, since it's the first one that I've really been dressing. Just thinking about kicky skirts in the summer has me happy!
