I am on a business trip and prior to it I bought a nice pair of boots with about 5 cm wedge heel. After my previous out and about in boots experience in the destination city, I wanted to go one better; decided to wear the boots the entire journey -airport to hotel.

I pretty much forced myself into wearing the boots all the way (10 hour flight) by checking in my regular shoes and wearing the boots. Once the bags were checked there was no going back, forced choice.

Worked like a beaut, the boots felt nice, I don't think anybody noticed. And my attitude, so what, I don't care even if they do.

I think you made a good choice. Those boots are sort of unisex.

Yep, pretty neutral boot. Try something with a 3" block heel next time!

Or 4''stilettos if you really want to see people's reactions.

What's there to notice, Abby? 5 cm is 2". I've got a pair of men's boots with actual heels that size.

And, with pointed toes and in cordovan red, they look more fem than yours!:battingeyelashes:

I would love to find men's boots with 3"+ heels for my back. But, no one makes them anymore!

Cute ankle boots and yes they could go either way and very unisex.

I usually don't work myself into a corner to wear something.
I just stand by my convictions.

Sometimes not the wisest choice.
Nice boots although I go for knee hi's.

I think the boots can go either way. I own a pair of cowboy boots I wear sometimes that are called a bronc riding heel. They are as tall or taller than those. The heels on my boots though are more curved under the bottom, so the boot will not go thru a saddle stirupp. I can walk on our wooden floors with the boots on and they almost sound like I have my high heels on.

I have been thinking of buying these, or something like them. Other than the heel, the could easily pass as a man's boot.

Sherry be nice. I a few pairs of angle boots. I’m wearing a pair in my avatar. I have worn them in guy mode, no one cares. If you like them wear them.
Love Jean

I am fine with the ribbing from Sherry. 😊

Yes it'd have been braver with 3" block heels, but for me this is baby steps.

More than anything, it's the mental wall I'm trying to get over, I wear something femininish and others notice - so what. It's the So What attitude I'm trying to develop.

It's all in the mind. I ordered the shoes online to be picked up at a store. When I went there, as the manager rings me up I'm trying to look nonchalant, she says, "you want to try them on first?"

Blush.

@abbylhr - I LOVE those! I have to go to the site, and see if I can get them in a size to fit me.

@Pumped - I like those too, but see they are only available in a medium width. Typically, I find I do better with a smaller size (9, instead of 10.5, which would be my male size +2), but in a wide width. Here is a pair of Bass boots I wear pretty regularly in the winter, regardless of how I am presenting: 244904

Dorothy. Mine were UK women's size 9, the max they sell. My male UK size is 9.5 and find these shoes a bit tight on width, but all in all manageable.

Forcing yourself is a great way to deal with those nervous little feelings. Last time I went on vacation, I didn't bring any pants. It was great not having to worry about whether I should go somewhere en femme or not. I had no choice, so no big deal.

Congrats.
