I took care of a bucket list item yesterday. I know to most folks even on this forum it is no big deal and it wasn't. But I had thought about it for a while and I finally got the nerve to walk in and do it. I got a Mani Pedi while dressed at a local nail spa and it was loads of fun. I have had them before in drab never with color but going in dressed and getting color on my toes and hands was great. I won't hesitate so long again. I was just another one of the girls and it felt great being pampered. What fun

I have had pedis with my wife but have never had the nerve to to get color, although they always ask me. I've always been in male lode though. I get an ingrown toenail and they usually fix it for me. I bet it would be fun to do what you did. That's definitely a good bucket list item I could get used to....

Au contraire Sallee, I think this would be a huge achievement to a great many here :daydreaming:. I get out a bit and I haven't achieved such dizzy heights, so I say stand up and take the applause.

I have to do my own nails and colouring, but it's nice to do though. A very cute violet at the moment.

At the point i'm at just walking out the front door for a moment dressed would be a huge milestone.

Sallee - looking at your avatar I would NEVER have thought you had a nervous bone in your body. That said - well well done. Looking forward to news of more steps forward!

Big hug, Amanda.

Bucket list items are achievements we should all work at and cross them off.
It means we can then move on to the next one.
Never let that bucket get empty, you always need goals to aspire to.
Now on to your next one Sallee.

Congratulations and, yes, you did take a big step. Not so much in getting a mani-pedi en femme, but doing it locally. I have been getting my finger and toe nails done for 4-5 years now, but only 2 or 3 times en femme, and that was far from my local safe zone. I do get color on my toe nails a lot of the time, just rarely en femme. Thanks for sharing.

It's a big deal, really. I recall a similar experience from a couple years back. A woman next to me and I visited about and shared pics of our grand kids. As far as she was concerned...or as far as I could tell, I was just a rather large woman with gorgeous grandkids.

I have gone to a nail salon for either a mani or a mani/pedi a couple of times now, but always en drab. The women working there know me now, so I'm less nervous about going in. (I do have fingers and toenails painted a pretty red at the shop.) Pedicures are great for your feet, whether you are a male or a female. I would put it on the same level of needing a regular haircut. It would be fun to go to the salon en femme.

Hi Sallee, It's always great when crossing something off of your bucket list
I'm so happy for you.:hugs:

Two things on my Crossdressing bucket list one just happened, when I my ears pierced a month and a half ago
and the other one hasn't happened yet, getting a Wedding Gown of my own.:daydreaming:

Sallee,

Congrat's on crossing it off the list! Isn't such fun just to be one of the girls? I've had a mani done dressed, but only with clear polish and not yet a pedi -- so colors are next ! And Rebecca is right -- most of us haven't gone that far. (Ladies, it IS a fun thing to do! I love to be chatty with the other ladies at my salon.)

Hugs,

Claire

Pretty Sweet, I get them a lot Pedicures , Never like that, lol , Guess I'm kinda all ways some what like that? Any how not like I am all dolled up, I just have this ME look I guess not like a costume just me. Anyway I like to go in the morning an try Monday or Tuesday around 10 or so not many people there an it's CLOSE to my house walking distance close. They know me an know about me but of course not everyone does, An why should they? Any how worse thing that happens is all is clear an we are sitting there just talking an talking like we always do an laughing an I am telling them story's about different things an all is well until last an most favorite thing we all go in for Polish, Why you ask, Because no sooner than I almost get done someone I know will come rolling in an screw up all the fun. When no ones in there they talk an laugh an kid around an we have a good time but you know how Asian people are,, If they don't know you they will get quiet when strangers come in. CRAP , Like I said the Best part is the Conversation an the end polish an designs . All good things come to an end I guess, Oh yea just because someone comes in that knows me doesn't mean no Polish,, lol,, I just said they put a damper on the fun, Hell I ain't that Crazy to miss the best part! :o :o
