View Full Version : Bizarre Theories of Science….kind of

Hello all,
So just a little levity for this evening, first my premise and what got me thinking about this.
My guy self buys cloths, when I have to. Actually I don’t remember the last time I bought men’s cloths and if I buy a pair of pants, the last thing I’m thinking about is what would go with them.
My girl side OMG, so I was in Wal-Mart and saw this beautiful summer dress in red. I didn't buy it that evening, but obsessed over it for the next couple of days. I actually debated with myself over buying it and when I decided that it was frivolous, but made me happy I ran off to Wally world panicking that they wouldn't have it in my size. They did and oh I couldn't just buy the dress, I found the perfect necklace (three strained blue beads) and a pair of gold hoop earrings too go with it. I’m on the hunt now for a loose knit half sleeve, white sweater top and a pair of fun floral print open toe wedges and of course a large brim, white floppy hat to top it off. I even know it would be perfect to wear during a stroller in the park or a botanical garden. Down to the color of lip stick and nail polish these feeling overwhelm me and I love it.
So now for this crazy old broad’s theory: Chromosomes, Some people are XX, some people are XY and then there are a few of us that are XW. When you think about it the W chromosome can form either an X or a Y depending on how you twist it. The W chromosome is more flexible and changeable then the X or Y.

So to define myself, I am that special kind of person with the XW chromosome.

So any other junior amateur biologist theorist here? What are your thoughts and comments?

I don't know about the chromosomes. Don't know what mine is. Yet that might be good to check. It is hard being a man with female hormones. Crazy thinking. Yet isn't it a gift to us. I do look at female clothes and wonder about my male clothes. Yet I'm a male and have to live as one. Showing my feminine time is special for me. I do buy men's underwear and socks when I need them. Haven't bought any shirts or pants.

Hell-o Victoria,
I imagine it would be nice to know that there is this "W" chromosome, but I would think someone would have discovered it by now.
I am a believer that this is something that nature has given us, and someday there will be an explanation.
Until that day...... Enjoy yourself
Much Love

When I walk through retail shops my eye is constantly getting snagged by things in the 'women's' section. I don't experience anything close to that in the 'men's' section.

So pretty!!! I wanna wear that stuff! 'Man' stuff is BORING!

I have more male clothes then female but I dress quite bland, just tshirt jeans and a hoody usually. The idea of a nice tailored suit or anything like that doesn't do anything for me, I wear a lot of tshirts with logos on them which I like but I could happily wear them in a female version.

My of my clothes are quite dark in colour with only a few items that are white or blue. When I browse women's clothing I like yellows and pinks and I'd wear things I never would as male such as converse style sneakers.

I rarely buy clothing except essentials like socks and underwear but I buy female clothing more often, I recently bought some summer clothes for a trip I'm going on soon and got a few tank tops which I would never would normally wear but I actually look at them like they are women's tops which I like, kind of like "undercover" dressing.

I realise I'm a lot less obsessed with female clothing than I thought I was :)

Hi Victoria,

Funny thing is that boy or girl, my thoughts on clothing are "practical use and buy when required". Now I admit I will spend more time getting dressed "en femme" but that does have more to do with the wider selection of colours my female clothing has compared to my guy stuff. Believe it or not . . . not a big fan of shopping but will go to the mall to look around but have never been in a position where "got to have it" overrides "don't need it". :)

Having the "X" factor is good enough for me whether it's one or two. If one, we are at least half female. :battingeyelashes::)

I am an indecisive person.... To put a label on it.

If I see something I can go away and come back later only to find the article has been sold.

So! Someone else makes my mind up for me. :)

I like the concept, but I think i'd label my genes as X and Y-Not. ;)

I don't think the W chromosome is there.... Sorry. But the X and Y chromosomes are all the sex chromosomes there are, so you would have to have an extra gene on your X or Y chromosome. However I think there is a better theory.

The sensations that crossdressers experience (well-being, pleasure, gratification and bonding) are absent in the majority of males. Something is different in crossdressers but what?? The sensations are normally associated when the brain releases dopamine, serotonin and oxytocin which are all neurotransmitters. So are the brains of crossdressers hardwired differently? Well the brain get wired in a process known as synaptogenesis and there are two critical periods of synaptogenesis (infancy and puberty). In fact, when you are about 3 years old your brain has about 3X more neural connections as an adult. Then your brain begins cutting many of the neural connections in a process called neural pruning. The nonsense connections are cut while the others are reinforced through the learning process. Sometimes things don't go as expected, and some people have crossed senses which may result in seeing colors associated with letters or numbers. This is called synesthesia. It means one sensory pathway is crossed with another resulting in an automatic and involuntary response in a second sensory pathway. This could be the case with crossdressers, as our brain interprets wearing feminine articles as actual contact with a female. So crossdressers are this way just because their brain's neural connections are just hardwired this way.

Why r u neglecting the M and N chromosomes, Vicky? Maybe because u think only GG's have them?

My ex had an M for Macy's and my daughter certainly has an N for Nordstroms chromosome. Judging by the time and money spent there!
