I'm turning twenty today!

O.k. not really.Today, though, is the 20th anniversary of the first time I went en femme and brought Bridget into the world. Naturally this day gives me cause to reflect on myself and my journey. It stands as one of the most significant decisions I've made in my life, though I had no idea at the time. I have to wonder if I had known that I'd be opening myself to a lifelong desire to present as a woman would I have made the leap in the first place. It has certainly added complications to my life that I never anticipated. But what's done is done, and I really have few regrets. I accept that I fit on the TG spectrum and I am comfortable with the person I am. I just have to work on finding the balance between my desires and the practical matters of life.

I am glad to have found this forum and to have the oportunity to exchange thoughts, ideas and opinions with so many people with their own perspectives. Some have become good friends, and my life is enriched as a result. So tonight I celebrate my "birthday". I'll be going out after work for a cocktail like I used to do when dressed. If you have the chance and happen to think of me, perhaps you could raise a glass in my honor.

Erika - Even as a brunette I'm honored you would name your blonde ale after me. I hope it turns out delicious (like me :D)

Victoria - I actually make a cocktail along those lines. It's a wine spritzer made two parts pink muscat, one part raspberry-pomegranate vodka, and one part pink lemonade. It's potent, so I think Pink Fog is an appropriate name.

But, the very fact that you did open that door creates a brand new pathway through the Universe. It is a Leap of Faith; Faith that the Universe will claim you and embrace you. And from what I can tell, it did. However, for some this does not happen or it is deferred. Why? We don't know and probably never will...
