Due to the recent events in Russia, my immigration to the US has become necessary. Recently, I got to the police and will soon trial. Putin's regime is gaining momentum, and crossdressing is the same as gay propaganda here. I can no longer work in a decent company, I can not take loans from banks, in my town closed last gay club that I could attend dressed. I already have a US visa and I fly to US as soon as my property sold, home, cars, etc. My wife wants to go to Orlando or to the nearest city. We will have to ask for political asylum, and it is important the place where we come, the presence of LGBT organizations that can help, government etc. I did not find anyone from Florida here, but it's no too late to change the location. I hope somebody will help me.

Hope you can get here soon, and get here safe, it sounds pretty scary over there these days and I think it going to get worse.
Florida, I've never been there, but the weather is nice, and in the southern part of the state there is a large LGBT population.
We do have some girls on here from that part of the country, I'm sure you will be hearing from them.
By the way, I've chatted with girls from all over the world, but you are the first I've talked to from Russia, welcome to the forum. (I know you have been here a while, but it's the first time I've seen you.

I am quite aware of the poor situation of LGBT Russians, all due to that dictator Putin. He thinks he is above everyone else, that asshole.
I have always wondered though, how people like Stas Fedyanin, who even works as a female model, do in their everyday life there.
Now that I have the occassion to ask, how have you been treated by people in general until you got to this point? (Where you obviousbly have been forced to move)
Very negative experiences?

Most states in the USA have cities that have LGBT friendly locations, but it is normal for the large cities in the USA to have more that other places.
I can speak to the LGBT area in Tampa, Clearwater area, as I lived there some years ago. Knowing that fact Orlando is only 103 miles from Tampa, so one can take for granted you will find many friendly sites in the area.
I think you will not have any trouble in the area, but the weather will become a problem for you, if you are not accustom to heat. Florida is hot, hot in the summer and the winter is cold, with the air off the oceans.
I can't speak about the legal aspect of becoming an American citizen. I wish you and your family well.

It depends on where you are in Texas. In large cities you will find as much tolerance as you will find anywhere. Austin especially is very liberal. Small towns, not so much. There are two things to remember about Texas:
1. If you don't live in Texas, then almost everything that you think you know about Texas is wrong.
2. Most Texans don't care what you think, and will make no effort to correct any wrong impressions you may have.

Sorry to hear about your problems Natasha... :hugs:
I wish you luck with your intended move - I'm in no doubt that anywhere in the USA will be better for you than Russia... But it must make you sad to have to leave your homeland - so be prepared to accept any help you can get from local people and support groups; I'm sure there will plenty of folk wanting to help.
Fingers crossed for you and your wife... :)

Hi Natasha, wishing you safe passage and sorry you have to leave your home country due to a stupid dictator.
I live in Florida but not the Orlando area. One thing Fla. has going for it there is no state income tax. Tourist dollars offset that.
Central Fla. also has easy access to all the amusement parks, Disney etc...... My knowledge of that area is only general never
having lived there. PM me if you have any more questions.
