My wife and I just got back from a trip. 2 weeks on the road to the hottest weather I've been in in years. 5 days on the road getting there and 5 days there, then 4 days coming back. I probably could have dressed while there, but decided against it since the big idea was a family get together with my wife's side which doesn't know about Kevyn. HOWEVER, I did get to be Kevyn for 2 days out and 2 days back, one of which was a really good thing.

My wife has had some health issues, one of which screws up her digestive system. We're coming over the Rockies and she has a lurch and needs a bathroom quick. We find a station and I'm able to rush her into the ladies room, help her in a handicap stall, get her clothes off her, get an emergency clothes kit from the car and rush back into the ladies with no problems. The women in there just watched as I was helping another woman with a problem. We got a couple "are you ladies ok?" questions. My wife later said is was a good thing I was dressed otherwise the whole situation would have been a disaster.

Next I probably need a nurses white starched uniform with the little hat.

It really felt good that I was there and dressed for the occasion.

Its a good thing you were there to help. Being dressed did reduce the need for explanations. :)

I hope your wife is ok now ?

Hi Kevyn,

I hope your wife is feeling better and you had a good vacation. Getting to dress for a few days of travel must have been nice and came in handy for sure.

Cheers

Her digestive problems are ongoing due to some radiation damage from therapy 18 years ago. Most of the time it's under control. Once in a while she has a surprise like that.

Hi Kevyn,

Likewise also glad that all ended well for you and your wife. :)

Not wanting to politicize your scenario, but given all the restroom discussion going on recently, isn't this a great example where it should be perfectly acceptable for a caring husband (presenting male) to help his wife with a necessary emergency and enter a female restroom without fear of prosecution or pillory? (or having to suddenly take up crossdressing...?)

The situation around restrooms over here (or 'Public Conveniences' as they are still quaintly known in the UK) means that the gender designation is advisory, and does away with all the issues of fear for TG folk (or emergencies like Kevyn's) without diminishing any of the protection for harassment, bad behaviour or worse... Seriously, I know we're Old World here, but sometimes the roots of Common Law (as in common sense) might be worthy of consideration for adoption in the New World too... :2c:

Once again, timing is everything. Glad you were in the right place at the right time and in the right outfit.

I wouldn't worry one bit about taking my wife into the ladies room in a situation such as yours even if I was dressed as a male. An emergency is just that, an emergency and if anyone was upset about it, that's their problem.

It's good that you got to dress on your trip though. How did you handle your own restroom needs?

I went where I presented, boy's if I was drab, women's if I was enfemme. Never had an issue either way.
