Another Step

Over the last few years I have been moving forward one little step at a time. I have gone out in the afternoon with a friend. I've had a couple makeovers. I went to SCC. I have had a couple friends over. There are about 8 people who are aware of my other side. Two days ago I told a close family member. She is okay with it and has known for years. I didn't get judged, I didn't die, she still respects me. After decades of hiding someone close to me knows. The relief I feel is amazing. We haven't talked since but I am hopeful.

One step at a time but since I'm only a CD my steps will be limited. Except to the women's section in clothing stores and the makeup isle.

It's good to hear that your life is moving in a positive direction. Interesting also that your family member has known for a long time. I guess you were being accepted even when you weren't aware of it!
