UK & US Sizes

Hi all,

I am just about to place an order for a US made Basque. I am a size 40, but have been told I should go for a size 42 as US sizes generally aren't as generous as European/UK sizes. Is this correct?

I know that in skirt/dress sizes I'm a UK size 16, but in the US I'm a size 14, so I like getting my clothes when I visit the US, cos when I get the clothes home it looks like I'm a size 14! :D

Yet shoes are a different matter, I'm UK size 8 (European 41/42) but in the US I'm a 10 or 10 1/2.

So in answer to your question I haven't a clue! :cheeky:

May I ask your Band Size Deborah?

Only, there is one site that sells the product I am interested in and they show both Dress Sizes and Bra Sizes together for the item, and my Bra Size doesn't match my Dress Size indicated. I just wanted to know what your Band Size would be for someone a size 16!
