Hey all!! I know it's been forever and a day since I've posted but life gets in the way sometimes.

Anyway, my wife surprised me with a trip to Las Vegas for my birthday and then surprised me more by saying we can go out dressed!! This is a first!! I'm a little excited to say the least!!

Where are some places to go for someone who is not as experienced?

Wow, aren't you going to have fun! Here are three ideas for makeovers from my trip last February:

If you have input on where you're staying, check out lasvegas.com for fantastic hotel deals. I stayed in The Paris in February (during the week) for about $50/night. All shows are fair game and loads o fun dolled up with your bride. By all means stand in the tickets line for great deals up to 1/2 off. If you haven't seen Frank Marino and enjoy female impersonators then that's a must do.

There's a brick and mortar Rent the Runway in The Cosmopolitan, do pay a visit. Note: They only carry shoes to a size 10 so if you want to try on pretty dresses, bring your own shoes for the full effect.

Definitely check out the Bad Attitude Boutique for corsets and other fun stuff. We're a big part of their clientele, and their merchandise is both top drawer and reasonably priced.

Bring your casual clothes for during the day but be ready to glam it up in the evening if that's your style because, in Vegas, anything goes!

Hugs, Michelle

What goes on in Vegas stays there. LOL. But yeah, you can be in the gambling studios any way you want to look. On the nights there are a lot of restaurants and night clubs. If you are dressed have no fear. They have seen it all before.

Sounds like much fun will be had!
I've never been to Las Vegas, only thru there when I drove a semi OTR (cross country). But I've heard to stay on the main "strip" to be safe.
Make sure you take tons of pictures.

You are very lucky. Be sure to tell your wife how much you love her and be sure to do something nice for her.

You are definitely a lucky girl.

Been there a couple of times dressed casually. One time went stellar, the other time I had many people staring. I think my sleeves were too short and sweater too tight, so I looked like John Wayne en femme.

The tourists are from all over, many from very rural and conservative areas. So, you may get some strange looks from the muggles unless you pass very well.

Even so, big deal. You'll never see them again and they get to go home with a Vegas story.

Being with your wife will help tremendously as you don't see many women on the street alone.

Have a great time and please report back :-)

It seems clear that your wife accepts your dressing but doesn't want the neighbors to see. No neighbors in Las Vegas.

Now wouldn't it be funny if you went galavanting down the Strip and bumped into the lady next door?

Vegas is a great place to go out dressed for the first time. I did it last year and went to a couple of shows with my wife and it was great. Was a bit nervous about the bathroom but really no worries there either, just go in do your business and come out. It was great fun all the way around

You'll have a great time. You may consider a makeover. There are a number of places and prices. I think my experience there was probably typical. You could read it on my old thread if it interests or helps you plan. The rest of the advice here is great, but I'm biased cause I think the world of the other ladies giving you feedback

Maybe you can include a visit to Glamour Boutique and see Amy. She is terrific with makeovers and suggestions on where to go.

I hope you have a great time going out on the town. I would guess you're a little nervous as time gets closer. May I add that I'm also in Vegas and I also am planning to go out dressed. I haven't decided where I going yet and my SO hasn't decided if she will go out with me. I would really like it if she did but I also will understand if she decides not to.

Well just go out anywhere and have fun. Las Vegas is so comfortable to go out in. I walked around openly there and felt very comfortable.

You can probably go anywhere and do anything you would normally do regardless of how you are dressed. I've been there once or twice a year since 2001 and have gone in casinos, bars and malls as well as Fremont street at all hours of the day and night with no problems. I've shopped in grocery, thrift, liquor, and drug stores, gone to museums and theaters and even walked a mile or so on The Strip at 1:00 in the morning by myself both people watching and being watched by people. And I'm not all that passable or much of a socializer, so if I can do these things you and your bride should have the run of the town. Amy's place is called "Just You" and is worth the visit as you may meet up with others in town at the time. Museums are great in Las Vegas as well, running from high art at the Bellagio to popular art at the Pinball or Neon museums. The Atomic Testing museum is very interesting and the folks at the Erotic Heritage Museum are great supporters of the Trans community (and it's a very interesting place to visit).

See what you did? You may have just talked me into going back this fall.

Search through this forum for any posts dealing with Diva Las Vegas or DLV and you should be able to see some of thing things that we've done as groups and places we've gone over the years.
