So- things are being fast tracked somewhat with my transition. Hrt began last Friday. I could say more about that if anyone is actually interested. But more to the point- the human resources guy said that he could forsee no reason why I couldn't stay at the school I work at, but my psychiatrist thinks it would be easier on me if I transferred. I agree, but my background is in a very specific program for behavioral health- I wonder if my experience thus far is applicable if I transferred. I can be an instructional para- I've did that before, but never as a full time job. So- that particular talk is the only think I'm truly afraid of right now. Telling my boss I want to transfer in January. The human resources dude said he'd work with me if that's what I decided to do. It's just with my particular personality it will be hard to avoid telling her why. The HR guy knows everything already, I spoke to him before I came back to work. I guess this is a predictable nuts and bolts issue, I just can't help but stress out. Someone I know with extensive experience as a supervisor says Thursday is the best day to tell your boss about things...so...here's to hoping.
