I don't know what section to post this in. So if someone could help that would be great.

I've been crossdressering on and off for about 13 years now. When I first started I had a few thoughts of being transgendered but I realized that I was happy as who I was. Recently as of lately I've been having a reoccurring dream where in the beginning I am myself male and all. As the dream progresses I start to become female. And it's not like I had any hormones helping. It just started. I've been thinking a lot about it as of lately and I can say right here and now I am scared and I am confused.

If you're posting here then I assume it's because you're afraid you might be trans.

I clicked on your FB link and all I can say is you need to get out more.

You will never figure anything out as long as you are so deeply closeted. I can tell you for sure that cross-dressing in and of itself may mean nothing at all in regard to your gender identity.

Hi Christina,

Unfortunately confusion goes with the territory. Dreams are funny things and while there is some credence in underlying emotions/thoughts being pervasive in dreams, a lot of what we experience is random neural connections discharging during sleep and your cognition trying to make sense of it by weaving a tapestry of events into a cogent storyline. It doesn't necessarily mean you want to become a woman or see yourself becoming a woman but it could point to a deep questioning on your part . . . I dress as a woman so perhaps I want to become a woman. As Melissa pointed out being CD does not necessarily mean you want to be a woman.

I am not TS but I have travelled quite far right of CDing to the point where I present as both a woman and a man in my private, public and professional life depending on which gender I identify with. It does not mean I want to transition and become a woman, it just means I had to take time to discover who I was in order to continue forward in my journey. From your angst over this dream, I would surmise you are at juncture of questioning your place in all this and that is what is invading your thoughts during sleep. Have you ever thought about seeking the services of a therapist who specializes in gender identity issues? It might be a good place to start in order to help you navigate some of this angst and help bring order to chaos.

Cheers

Isha

Ignore the dream. It doesn't mean anything..

Explore your gender with honesty and hard work.. Get outside..that's very informative in many ways

as others have said, being a CD doesn't necessarily mean you want to be a woman full time. My suggestion is that it is time to speak to someone about all this. Get thee to a therapist???

Good luck...

1. Dreams rarely mean what we think they do.

2. There are lots of threads on this forum about dreams. Do a search and you'll find lots of input.

3. While I don't put a lot of stock into dreams, I did dream about becoming female most of my life. That stopped with transition. Now, I mostly dream about ghosts and missing term papers.
