Asked my 21-year-old daughter.
"Why?"
"because we're going out tomorrow and I don't want our outfits to clash"
how awesome is that?

Lol. Was she a girl scout and doesn't want them to take back her "how not to clash" badge ?

That's so adorable and its great that she's 21. Shes at an age where she has already learned all her foundations and will live a good life based on those. You must must been an amazing father and she must be a beautiful lady.

thanks all, we had a lovely day out, eating out at the riverside in Exeter. The waiting staff were really nice, and no problems around the shops either. One lovely smile from a well-dressed and made-up lady.
The only downpoint was a passing jogger spat at me, running on before I could respond. There was such hatred in his eyes/face/action, quite surprising but perhaps a necessary reality check that its not all sweetness and light out there.

"Daddy,Don't you think that dress/skirt is a BIT TOO SHORT ? " My 13 yr old daughter commented a couple of times recently... My reply.."Depends on who is judging...would you rather have me looking "frumpy" ? lol Very glad for acceptance at home..
