Well, I had a blast this last week. Three nights out in a row en-femme, and all of them having me leave the house in daylight!

On Thursday night, I went to the Saxon Pub in Austin to see the Patrice Pike band play. It's a popular small music venue in my home town, that features a lot of local talent. One of the singers in that band is a friend of mine.

It's a fairly laid back club, so I dressed in jeans and cowboy boots with 3 inch heels and a white peasant blouse. It was still daylight when I left the house and drove through downtown to get there. Got to the pub a little early, and the place was packed for the band that was playing ahead of my friends' band. Standing room only, for anyplace in the pub that could see the stage, though there were some seats and tables in a back room, where I could sit and listen. That was fine with me, because I wasn't that interested in the Hank Williams tribute performance.

Once the crowd from that show thinned out, my singer friend invited me to join half a dozen female friends of hers at their table, right up next to the stage. :) Had a great time that night, and the other ladies all accepted me without question, as 'one of the girls'. I just love that!

On Friday, I went out even earlier, to catch a show by two of my other musician friends at a women's bookstore. Wore a simple black skirt with my Austin Pride t-shirt, and strappy wedge sandals with nude stockings. My two lady friends greeted me warmly, and introduced me to a third lady who was also going to be performing. I shopped a bit in the store and then sat and listened to them all perform. Again, no one acted as if I was anything but a lady.

On Saturday night I went to another music venue in town, for a CD release party for a band that my other musician friends had recommended. I wore pretty lady's jeans, a white blouse, and a light brown long fringed suede vest, and cowboy boots with 3 inch heels. Pictures are attached. Got there at 5 PM, an hour before the club opened, so I went into a nearby Starbucks and had a sandwich and a cafe mocha while I waited. I blended seamlessly. :) Most of the Starbucks customers paid no attention to me, and the staff treated me like a lady. Got into the club a bit later. Saw three different bands perform, and got to dance a little. I got to meet the lead singers from all three bands, as well as some of the other band members, and bought a CD from each of the bands. A couple of ladies there noticed I was having trouble taking selfies with my phone (I'd filled my memory card), and took some nicer pictures of me in the club with their phone and e-mailed them to me. When I thanked the girl that sent me the pictures, she replied, "You are so welcome Ceera! A beautiful soul should have a beautiful picture." :)

On the way home at just past midnight, I impulsively stopped at a McDonalds and got some French fries. Again managed to blend seamlessly when I walked inside, placed my order and left to go home. No one in the restaurant acted like I was anything but a lady.

First two pics are me at home, taken by my daughter with our good digital camera. Next one is a selfie I took with my phone, and the last two were taken by that nice young lady in the club and e-mailed to me.
