When you are dressing en femme, st what point do you consider yourself transformed into a female so to speak? For myself it's when I apply lipstick. That is absolutely my last step when dressing and then I'm good to go. :)

That is pretty much it for me too. Even though I don't go out, when I am dressed, I always try to look my best.

When getting ready, I usually do my makeup, then the wig goes on. Thats when i see her in the mirror.
It's not really a transformation for me. It's more like I find the girl I know is there. Sounds silly, I know. Just the way I am.

Typically after I'm dressed and what necklace to wear as well as jewelry. That is the finishing touches.

For me, it's the wig. Until that is in place, I feel less than complete.

I agree with most of the above....The wig makes it.

For me the finishing touch will always be the accessories. Once I have my makeup, outfit, and wig on, bringing it all together with a matching pair of earrings and necklace finishes the transformation. All that's left is to grab my sunglasses and purse and i'm ready to go!

I'm easy, for me it's once I throw on my forms.

I feel female from the moment I put on my panties and then work my way up to my head and my lipstick. Once I look in the mirror I feel complete.

Mostly once the wig is on for me but sometimes it's as simple as when Im just starting and I see me in my bra and panties and that does it

Ceera

When the wig goes on, the girl comes out.

I do my pads, forms, clothes and makeup first, and often even apply my perfume and put on any necklace or earrings first. But it's when the wig goes on that the guy in the mirror vanishes, and I only see a woman looking back at me. That's when Ceera comes to life and I feel her 'personality' and behaviors come to full power.

Oh geez, where do I start. Maybe it's the wig, or maybe the lipstick and perfume. Or when I buckle that slim strap of my ankle strap pumps around my ankle. Or when I pick up my purse and step out of the front door, and feel the night air on my legs.

It really depends on the occasion I'm dressing for. If it's for a casual day around the house it is after dressing and the forms with just hint of makeup and natural hair brushed. But if we are going out it would be when I look in the mirror and it's my best efforts results.

After the makeup is done and the wig goes on I look in the mirror and see Natalie smiling back at me.:battingeyelashes:

Wig. Something in my personality will always remind me that I'm supposed to be a 14 y/o girl; so, the long hair which appears in my field of vision kicks back input telling me I'm a pretty girl with long, beautiful hair. I guess it's because it's always at least somewhat in my face, brushing against my skin, or even blocking part of my vision as compared to what I see as a guy. And, when I'm not busy, I tend to play with it in subtle ways, like most girls do.

When I either take the rollers out of my hair after make up or when the wig goes on is when I see the girl I am.

Getting prepped to leave the house is always a whirlwind of activity, usually under time pressure. I don't appreciate the results and really experience my transformation until I'm in the car and on the way to my destination -- then there's nothing left to fix, change or improve, and I can finally relax a bit.

Fully transformed? I have a female suit that appears to change me into a naked female from neck to ankles. But, when do I FEEL I'm female?

NEVER!

definitely a question only for CD'ers then. My answer is that I don't feel transformed into a woman even if fully made up, it's an unusual me. I feel happy wearing women's clothes and perhaps that's all i need in terms of transforming, the make-up is an extra for special occasions, just like my SO only wears make up then, too.

The first time I put on a wig and saw Barbara in the mirror I cried. The wig makes such an incredible difference.

I think when doing my makeup, then the lipstick completes that particular stage. The wig brings stage two together (this is probably the most important step) but I feel my most feminine when I put my stilettoes on.

Yep, like so many others, it's got to be the wig for me. I always do my makeup, get dressed, and then the wig is pretty much the final step. I never feel right until the wig goes on. Up until that point, I just feel like a dude in women's clothes and makeup. But when I put the wig on and turn and look in the mirror, it's like 'hey Paula! There you are!'

For me, like a lot of other ladies here, I feel transformed into the female image once the wig goes on. I always love that moment. Jewelry, shoes and purse are the last things done to complete the transformation.

I agree with most of you, the makeup plus the wig. The act of getting ready, is mind changing.

Kate Simmons

The wigs seem to have it. They must be somewhat magical. When my GF and I are going out with me en femme and I'm dressing in front of her, she tells me she knows it's me even with makeup on but when I don the wig it looks like an entirely different person. Even with that though, for myself the final touch is lipstick, then I feel empowered. :battingeyelashes::)

The last two things that I do are to put on my wig and then apply my lip liner and lipstick. Then I am ready!

When the wig goes on, I'm a woman. Lipstick and dangly earrings add an exclamation point, but the wig says "I am woman."

For me it's an incremental feeling. Every article of female clothing I put on contributes. Then makeup, jewelry, and when the wig goes on (as so many have said), it's a magical moment. I love that rush! Brushing out the wig, adjusting clothes, finishing makeup touches....whew! *fanning self*

*giggle*

Kate - I also never feel transformed. I am always "me". But I do recognize that my appearance changes dramatically when I complete my make-up, primarily my eyes. I feel different - relaxed, sexy, happy. I then feel good getting dressed - and putting on my heels - which makes me feel real good.

I have to say it's the moment I put on the wig. It's when my male persona disappears and Stefani appears.

For me, when the wig goes on...that's the " hey girl! Where ya' been" moment!!

Yep I'll go with that. Even if just grabbing a few hours "home alone" the wig does it for me. Why? because even if starting from a blank canvas, "naked as a jay bird", putting on a wig connects me with the things GG's have to do when getting dressed. OK if putting on makeup then the wig is relegated to later in the process but it is the one thing that transforms my overall look the most.

As many times as I've done it, the difference a wig and makeup makes, still takes my breath away. To look in the mirror and see an attractive woman is mind blowing.

I will also vote for the wig. I love the feeling when I place it on.

typically I am dressed before the makeup goes on, when the lipstick goes on I am transformed into Madilyn, then the wig goes on last.

I have to agree, when the wig goes on. But I think that it is really a combination of lipstick, makeup, false nails, and I wear false eye lashes, and the breasts forms, lingerie, perfume, earrings, high heels. Even when I start getting ready, I think that I am already there. Including when I take my bath and shave my legs. I guess I must be different then most, I enjoy reading women's magazines and even when I play video games, I am the girl, lol.

It's safe for me to say I have never truly felt, nor will ever truly know What It Feels Like For A Girl. I probably look female enough when fully dressed, wig on and a fair bit of makeup, and that's it. Yes granted I cross-dress and am unlikely to repress it for life, but feeling 'feminine' to me doesn't depend much on the clothes. Expressing it does, however, at least for the most part. Above all, I can't be nude to feel it.

Definitely the wig!!!!!

There's a reason they call a woman's hair her "crowning glory". I put on my Veronica 5 (padded undergarment), then my forms and bra, then my wig. At that point, I have become Krisi. I still have to get dressed, put on makeup and/or lipstick, blouse, skirt, shoes and jewelry. Women do those things also.

Never really like the image looking back in the mirror.

Yes the wig dose a big part for myself but I would have to say my breast forms play a bigger part that's when I truly feel like a real lady
