Hi!
This afternoon our house in California went on the market and my spouse and I plan to very soon hop into our RV and spend the next couple of years travelling around the U.S. and Canada.
Our plan is to become legally domiciled in one of three states, Texas, Florida, or South Dakota since those states offer particular tax and other advantages to full-time RVers.
We're on Medicare and will probably get a Medicare Suppliment Plan in our state of domicile so that we can see doctors wherever we are and, hopefully, keep some of our current doctors in California.
But there could be a wrinkle in all of this. Medicare Suppliment plans are particular to each state, actually each county or area, and are governed by the laws of those states.
California law says they have to provide transgender services, so I can get my Finasteride, Spironolactone, and Estradiol patches through the plan here (the plan that I can't keep if I move out of state). But I'm not sure my meds will be covered by plans from those other three states.
So help! If you live in one of our three target states, or if you know about Medicare Suppliment plans in those states, can you let me know how they handle HRT and the other TG meds?
(Please spare me the "Texas is Terrible" or "Florida is Frightful" kinda post unless you really feel it will add to the conversation).
Hugs and Thank You!
