Heidi Does Graceland!

I've been able to spend the past 4 days as Heidi 24/7. Saturday I went to Memphis to visit with another forum member for lunch. I have never been back to Memphis as Heidi so I hit several of the famous locations after we parted. I'll post photos from the rest of the spots in the Picture and Video Gallery.

Located on Elvis Presley Blvd. in south Memphis is the estate of Elvis. It was a cold, raw day for early October, so I was able to pull right up in front of the famous wall with all the well wishes and graffiti left by the King's fans. It was past the last tour time of the day, so I had to get shots from the gate. The first photo is of Graceland from the front gate, the second is a photo of me in front of the entrance gates, the third is a selfie of me, the wall and Graceland. The final shot is of the note I left for the King of Rock n' Roll. I'll be back to take the tour someday, but this time as Heidi.

It was wonderful meeting you. Sorry the weather didnt play nice for us. Clouds and mid fifties with the wind was just a bummer. We will have to try again after the holidays and warmer, sunny weather.

Great pics Heidi! October 28th in Cleveland, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame visit to be sure! I was there a couple years ago, dress warm girl and have a great time!

Heidi, I'm sorry I have not been on here in some time. Up until 2 weeks ago, I was working about a mile and a half from Graceland. Would have loved to meet you. Incidentally, my house is a 1/2 mile from his ranch across the state line, I did not know this when we bought our house.

Hi Heidi,

Great photos and hopefully you will get to take the tour next time. I was down in Memphis on some business and just had to take the tour . . . one of my roomies in basic training was an Elvis zealot and had all his music which he played at nights and on the weekend . . . so I knew the whole repertoire. So I figured while the tour was a bit pricy I could not pass up the opportunity.

There are places that I've been to that seem to transcend just being a brick, mortar, steel and glass structure. While I've never been there, from looking at your photos, I get the sense that there is something very special about Graceland; almost like some part of Elvis remains there...
