View Full Version : Do any of the ladies here get together in person?

I'm feeling very much like I'm stuck in the echo chamber of my head. I would really like to meet others who understand, so I can just talk. Talking here is great, but talking in person seems so much more therapeutic.

I live west of Saint Louis, MO. Are there any social groups around? Or any one that would like to meet? Google doesn't seem to come up with any local groups.

I Just Goggled "Saint Louis, MO transgender support groups" and got several hits. Check it out. As to your title question, many of us have met other members of our community here. It takes time, but it is well worth it. Reach out and be nice and be sane! LOL

Daphne:

Here in the D.C. Area we have some very robust Meetup.com groups. I'm in one with over 500 trans-C/D women and we go out many times throughout the year. I searched for anything similar in the St. Louis area and only found one that is not exactly on point, but probably close enough if you want friends to talk to and go out with. I can't imagine that this group isn't friendly and accepting. See: http://www.meetup.com/Queer-STL/?scroll=true

If that doesn't pan out, start your own Meetup group. You'll probably find a gaggle of girls who are all feeling alone and looking for others to go out with.

Best of luck and let us know if any of this works for you.

Regards,

Rhonda

Hell-o Daphne,
Getting together with other members of the forum was something
I was looking forward to for quite a while.
I was lucky to have someone read my reply to a thread in which I had stated
that I was hopeful to meet with others someday. This person invited me to join
her and a group of friends that get together regularly.
It took some time for the stars to align, and Iwas able to meet with them.
It was well worth the wait!
So keep putting yourself out there, try to chat with other members that may be in your area.
Get to know one another, and see where it goes.
I've made few friends here that live clear across the country. We may have never met, but we share emails,
And I've even made a few long distance calls just to chat with them.
Give it time, and keep looking.
If you want it, it'll happen!
Much Love,
Kristyn

I have met a few from the forum and we have gone out plenty of times.
Join a local trans group and make some friends there.
