Now that I've been retired for many months, I'm now home alone for most of the day and I have taken on a new routine.
I now have the freedom to spend my time en femme. As always I dress in jeans and tees, moderate makeup, my long hair tied back out of the way, flats or sandals.
I enjoy coffee as I make and have my breakfast. I feed the pets. Then I start on the housework. After that I'll clean up the yard.
All the while I'm enjoying the fun of being dressed and everything that goes with that.

A few days ago, I was busy with the chores. I gathered up the trash and walked out the front door and across the driveway to the containers.
However I'm not out to my neighbors. I was so much into what I was doing that I forgot that I was dressed! How wonderful is that!
My street is very quiet and no one was out. I casually walked back up the drive and into my house.

That put a smile on my face!

Sounds like Carmen is very comfortable in her own skin. Cool. Glad the neighbors didn't see. They would have thought you have a woman staying with you!

Yesterday I went into my backyard to mess with the automatic pool vacuum that quit working. I was wearing a pink, satin, night shirt that rode above my panties when I was knelt down. My 2 story neighbors had a perfect view.

It's easy to get complacent when we don't have consequences for our naughtiness. I must steel myself against such antics lest the police show up at my door. There was a guy arrested a few years ago for walking naked inside his house, making coffee in the morning. Some kids trespassed through his yard and saw him. CRIMINY, They were in his yard. Imagine the field day the press would have about me in pink satin with my panties exposed!

Anyway, I'm happy you feel so comfortable and content, Carmen.

I do yard work ,trash and everything else while dressed. I have got to the point of who cares what the neighbors think or say. I am who I am.

A guy was arrested for being naked in his own house? Was he standing at the window playing with himself in front of the boys or was he just going about his usual business without wearing clothes?

On the surface, that seems a bit extreme unless he was doing the former.

Carmen, you didn't say if you were wearing breast forms and hip padding. That makes a big difference. I wear jeans and tees in male mode. I look like a male.

That is great Carmen. Enjoy this new freedom and so what if the neighbors learn. I too am retired (at least for now) and dress en femme at least every other day. No wonder I do not want to go back to work! :D

Hi Krisi, yes I left that detail out. I always have my breast forms and hip enhancers underneath. I just love admiring my curves under jeans and a tank top.

I/we are proud of you for going outside and educating the public and have the confidence to do what you did.

I'm a retiree too with a still working wife. I have ample opportunity to be Stephanie. My routine is similar. After dropping my wife off a work I head home and slip into my femme attire. I'm strictly a lover of dresses and heels. I don my undergarments (bra, panty, slip), hosiery and heels, dress and wig. I make my breakfast and leisurely drink a cup of coffee and read the newspaper. I start my chores of the day which may be on any day changing the linens, doing the laundry, vacuuming, washing the dishes, baking, and the start of meal preparation. I guess watching June Cleaver and Harriet Nelson on television made an impression on my attire.

During the spring, summer and fall, if weather permits I'll tend to the garden, plants and vegetables.

Hi Carmen.

Just loving you, being so "in the mode" that you forgot.

I`m always aware when in woman clothes, but take often a small chance, and walk the few meters to the trashcontainer, in a Loose blouse with forms under, dont think anyone will look to my feet, and see the nylons. :-) Happend once with the woman there brings out the mail. Got a big smile, so maybe she noticed.

Looking forward to hear about NeXT time you "Out"

Kiss Joe Ann

Krisi, he was a hippy kind of dude making coffee and eating breakfast in his kitchen. He had no curtains or blinds and it was dark outside.

Hey, people lose their kids for letting them play in their yard unsupervised. Welcome to the world of PC and Big Brother.

I hear you. Same here. I think people in general tend to over think the importance of opinion of neighbors. Neighbors mostly don't care about you. Plus they come and go. Why waist life to please strangers!!!

First of all I am glad that you had a great day...

I think that sometimes we spend so much time worrying about how we are dressed, and whether we pass or not; that the little things are missed.
You forgot you were dressed, is a wonderful thing. Yes, it happened at home where you are in your comfort zone, but still and amazing experience.
How can that not be a fantastic day !!!!!

i would agree that it is nice to be out dressed doing whatever you would normally do. it seems such artifice to dress up and walk around a mall or gallery. it is far more liberating to just dress and be. i dress about 70% of the time with the exception of the not wearing skirts/dresses in the immediate area...you could say i dress 90% of the time....eyebrows, fingers and nails painted and polished, long hair, diamond studs in both ears, ladies tops and slacks/shorts with androganous (sp?) shoes.

keep going out it, it gives you confidence....remember women generally take shorter steps...walk proud like a woman should

How very true. Several years ago after 'reviving' the girl within, I had decided to zero in on her and arrive at a more 'real time' approach to dressing. This included my attitude about myself.
Many times passing (in public) is a also form of acceptance. We perceive that no one knows, but some do and usually keep it to themselves.
Of course many sisters here are blessed and passing is never an issue.

I've gone shopping for clothes, shoes, groceries. The movies, casinos, dinner, lounges, all the while dressed and having a great time either solo or with a friend.
When you're out there and looking at dresses or trying on shoes and the SA's are doting over you, or casually strolling through a casino and into the restaurant and being seated and the waiter inquires as to what you would like to drink.
That's the goal correct? To be yourself and go out and function as anyone else does. To have your own sense of style and dress.
To sum this up...forgetting that we are dressed is the result of that arrival of confidence with ourselves.
