Who know how to land this thing?
I tend to dress and look fairly androgynous when en blah mode, skinny jeans, woman's black jacket, faint lipstick (big lips), light mascara, and powder...I'm afraid I might look like a gay guy (I have no problem with that at all, just don't want to give the wrong impression)...maybe I'm just over sensitive but anyone experience setting of gaydar by accident?

Why do you think that you may look like a gay guy and why should that affect you in any way? The majority of gay guys do not use a woman's black jacket, faint lipstick (big lips), light mascara, and powder. So, what is the relation of feminine objects with being gay? Yes, there are some more effeminate gay males, but they are a small minority to the rest, just as the leather clad ones are also in a minority. You say that you have no problem with that, then why this thread topic? I guess your words confuse me. I sounds like you would be ashamed to be mis-labeled gay by the uninformed public. Freedom is not really caring.

AllieSF, maybe you are right about how unlikely it is to find a gay using that kind of clothes and makeup. However, based on my knowledge about the general population, I am sure that many of them will think that he is gay, regardless their judgement is precise or not, they will just think that. Why is that important?, maybe because he just does not want to give a wrong impression, he agrees that there is nothing bad about being gay, but if he is not one I think it is reasonable that he does not want to be seen as one. Personally, I would hate that, I struggle a lot trying to find girls to date, and if I was seen as a gay man, girls would assume that I do not like women, decreasing (even more) my chances with them.

@Allie - I read a blog some time ago from a TG woman coming out at work (unofficially) who attracted the attention of a gay coworker who was actually offended by her 'presentation' when he found she wasn't gay...I might come across as a 'beast chic' but I do have empathy!

I thought you knew how to land!!
There are times when I get a kick out of underdressing in full hip padding and forms and a khaki male uniform over it all. And maybe earrings or something.
Just like some of the women I work with.
Gender bender blender. Great fun!
