Need to ask a Question about wearing Slips

Im wanting to start wearing slips with my clothing. But I am a bit confused can use anyones help. I noticed their are many types of slips. Are the long slips for wearing dresses only? And are the half slips for the women who just wear tops and skirts? Please Help! +?

I've always loved the full slips, and I don't understand why anyone would wear a half slip. But there must be some reason.

I wear cami - knickers quite a lot and always wear a half slip when I do.
I think a half slip would also be suitable if you were wearing a cropped top, or a blouse tied up below the bust.
As I said in a previous post I knew a girl who used to wear a slip as a dress.

I wear a black half slip with the velour dress in my profile pic. Since it's low cut, especially in the back, a full slip wouldn't work and the only reason I wear a slip is to prevent the dress from clinging to my nylons.

This dress also requires a half slip, as it can be a bit "showy" under certain lighting conditions.

OK I just got this half white slip from K-mart this week with some lace.
