I found a store that sells wigs, so i go in there in male mode and this asian lady very sweet and helpful saw me looking at a few wigs and she told me that i can try them if i want to and of course i wanted to. She let me try 5 different wigs, she also let me try on some nice shoes that i just had to have... best shopping experience yet. I just wanted to share that with y'all

Im just going store to store picking and looking at few things here and there... and i seem to be caring less and less of what people think

Good for you, wig shopping in person is so much fun when treated well.

Great attitude Britney, to not care what others think. I know its easier said than done, and I wish I had your courage, but you seem to be able to do it without any fear

Hi Miss Britney, I'm glad that you had a wonderful experience there.:hugs:
I always plan on at least an hour and a half when going wig shopping.:daydreaming:

Its great to have a SA help you find the right wig, I've tried to order them and thay always don't fit my fancy, so I don't order any thing, I always try the item on be for I buy it. ( that's any thing that is girly)

Rita - buying a wig online can be a real nightmare. Before I bought my first wig I spend a lot of time using digital images - I got a picture of my face and superimposed different wigs over it to get a feel for what I like the look of and what didn't work. Then I did got to a wig studio - but knowing what I thought I wanted. I got excellent private service and we agreed that I had got decided on the right sort of wig - most of Michelle's friends still think that first wig is the best of the three I have.

If you do have access to a wig store somewhere it is so much better than trying to do it online and SAs are really professional about it. Because it is likely to be a sensitive issue whichever gender is buying a wig you can also guarantee that there will be proper privacy - I went in as Stephen and explained that I wanted a wig for Michelle, my other self...it was clear I was neither the first nor the only crossdresser she had served. Be bold and enjoy.

And remember that once you have 2 or 3 wigs it is so much cheaper for us to change our hairstyle than for our SOs... :)

So did you buy a wig? Or shoes?

The best way to keep them accepting is to buy something from them. That's what they are there for and their time is money.

I bought both...after I picked the wig that i wanted i saw this nice pair of black shoes that i just had to have and she let me try them on and walk, i did all this in male mode.

I try wigs when I need a different style.

No problems with sales staff in fitting.

Nearly always buy one.
