View Full Version : Beautiful Feminine Feeling Wearing Girly Clothes

I started dressing in the softest girly clothes I could find, at Age 5!
Got into my moms lingerie dresser, found the cutest, nylon half slip and thought it was just the right fit for me! Can you believe a 5 year old would think of such a thing?
Would sneak into her things whenever she was out. I graduated to Bras (Bet I was the only 7 year old Boy who could fasten his Bra from reaching behind), the most gorgeous pastel full slips with ALOT of pretty ruffles coming up from them hem. So soft, pretty and the coolness of it floating over my arms and down my body is a chill I'll Always try to attain-------------The ultimate High!

So true, we sometimes tend to fly off on all sorts of tangents here, but the core that unites us is the joy we derive from wearing those wonderful, forbidden clothes!

Janice,
I think that a lot of us grew up like that, I know that I did. And no, I could fasten my bra that way too, still can, but prefer front opening bras better. And yes, I do remember the slips too, so sensual, feminine. I own a few of them even now. And even though they are not needed under dresses these days, I do like to wear them under my dresses.
Hugs,
Bree :)

The urge came before the dressing for me and when i finally gave in i was hooked .One dress is all it took

Well we seem to have total agreement on this one. Must have been 50 years ago. But could have been yesterday. One smooth silky slip was all it took. I'm still a clip at the back girl, when it comes to my bras.

So taboo....yet so comfortable.....so many on this site enjoy a similar history....part of what binds us together.

Yes Yes Yes While panties were the first item I soon graduated to a strapless sundress. Once I tried slips there was no stopping me. My sisters helped teach me about bra hooking. Ironically one of my girlfriends gave me a class on how to hook my bra and put the girls in the right place. I can still remember wearing petite coats and strutting around the house getting ready for my first date. Unfortunately I had to change to guy clothes.

I must have been a late bloomer... At 7. Lol. But I became a prolific "borrower" over time. Still amazes me all from whom I "borrowed" from. Didn't help that the local girls used to play a game called "catch a boy and put a dress on him" . I wasn't the slowest runner but I got caught way more than anyone else. 😍

I was apparently into nylons (under dressing?) when I was 2 but I totally purged at 5 (had to stay focused on my kindergarten studies 😉). Picked it up again in my 20's but only for a short time. But NOW, wow...and thank you Long Tall Sally! 😀

yes very similar story as well, going back about 50 years.
i was about 4 or 5 and can remember a heavenly, secure wonderful feeling and a strange stirring in my loins when i put on my mothers slip and nylons.
those beautiful ultra feminine slips from the 50's-60's which i still have an incredible passion for today, truly the forbidden fruit.
what puzzles me to this day is what attracts a 4-5 year old to sexy lingerie? its truly a matter of genetic hard wiring i guess.

I just knew without checking that you are a senior. How? When you mentioned "pastel full slips with ALOT of pretty ruffles." Dabbling in my mom's lingerie draw with those pretty slips had a direct influence on my style. I do not own one pair of women's clothing that have legs. No jeans, no pants, nada. My full slip collection is over 400. I'm a sucker for nylon full slips.
PS> I have to agree with Karen. Although there may not be masses outside the gate with pitchforks, there is very little acceptance. There may be tolerance, as in NIMBY, but, there still is no "acceptance."

Yes!
I know I was already dressing by 7. Had worn every piece of my mom's clothing by age 10.
I knew enough to never tell anyone. Forty years later, my spouse knows, my best friends know, my brother knows and I am preparing to tell my mom. One of my friends has met EvaLyn a couple of times. My SO is terrified of meeting EvaLyn. At the same time she supports me becoming who I truly am....no more secrets.
I am looking forward to more time with friends....
Peace,
EvaLyn

Moments like this are still fresh in mind, 40 plus years later. The pleasure morphed into shame and self-loathing for a few decades, but I'm guiltlessly enjoying the same sensations today.

It always starts with getting into our mother's clothing, doesn't it? I can't explain the how or why's about it but I just had this urge to try on her clothing one day like something just clicked in my head. Over the years, I would wear her pumps/heels and walk in them for a bit because I didn't have a stash and none of her other clothing made me feel sexy and femme inside. Repressing it over the years has been the roughest...I would lash out at other people as a result because I had to hide who I really was inside.
The pink fog clouded my mind so much this week that I seriously thought I was transgender and needed to start transitioning. I spoke to a friend in the psych field and they just said that I was a crossdresser rather than someone who really is a woman stuck in the wrong body. After many years, I've finally come to accept that this is who I am. I just wish I could be more open about it in society. But no, it's still a taboo and after talking with several friends, IT IS NOT A CHOICE. It's how we're wired inside.
Robin777

I agree with Miss Danielle, It's the way we are wired. There is no other explanation for it. It's the only explanation for why I do it.

What a lovely introduction to dressing as a girl wearing your sisters pink tights. I wish I had been brought up with sisters.

thank you Nannette,I actually loved them and wore them all the time,,i was so young I was just out of diapers i believe, but as much as my mom scolded me and told me no..i would find them and wear them all around the house..I was eventually banished from wearing anything again..but i still snuck here and there..so it wasn't all fun and games..I remember getting a skirt on christmas one year..and looked at my mum and dad and smiled and said"it's just what I wanted"my mum said"that isn't yours hun,the tags must have gotten mixed up"then handed me a different present to open while everyone tried to ignore the elephant in the room..haha..I have always been a girl at heart.

Anyway, for me it was shoes, nylons and bras. I was maybe 9-10...

I love the 1950s era. The way everything looked was awesome. Sometimes i wish I could go to that period in time and experience it. I also love the women's clothing from that time too, so beautiful.

Started young also. The hamper was in the only bathroom in the house. I remember trying on everything I could find in the hamper, but especially loved the slips and bras. I graduated to mom's lingerie drawer. I remember with great clarity almost getting caught one day. I was home alone, maybe at 10 yrs old. I was in my moms room wearing her bra, panties, full slip, (all white), and a pair of pantyhose. I heard the door open as and mom and my sisters came home. Our house was a ranch and the only way back to my room was across the hall, with the risk of being seen. I made the fastest dash I could across the hall, into my room. Quick changed and stashed the clothes in my closet.

I was 9 or 10 I think when my best friend and I tried on one of his moms bras complete with tennis ball boobs... Then after puberty I had the luxury of an older sister with great sexy clothes.

I believe I was 7 when I discovered an outfit in my sister’s closet that just begged me to try it on… I remember almost not being able to breathe once I got the matching underpants zipped up (side zipper), and not from it being too small...it was a great fit, and for the first time I felt like ME. I felt elated yet normal, comfortable yet scared, right yet so “what the heck am I doing”. I knew it would be short lived as the parents would be returning home very soon. I remember wearing the outfit on many occasions until I got to the point of not being able to get the zipper up. (yep, I broke it, and just knew I was gonna get busted for it)
That was 50 years ago. Other milestones I do not remember as well. When I got my first pair of heels, my first wig (post male-pattern-baldness), first time shopping for myself are all lost in time. But I still have the memory of the Blue Majorette Uniform.
It looked like this, but Blue and Shiny, matching underpants. But no hat.

Now that you mention it the pantyhose and slip combo was the best, it's to bad the new generation dressers won't experience it. I still love going to thrift stores and I could still find some of the classic lacy slips of old. They were good days, I miss women wearing slips.

Barbara Jo, I read this post first yesterday, and I'm still green with envy from what you describe. Lucky girl. What would it be like today if we all had available to us the styles from that era?

Many of you have the same feelings I do. The sensation of a slip or skirt over nylon is the cornerstone of dressing to me. I have discussed it with my wife a bit and it is funny. The thing I crave she does not even notice. But like she says, she had to wear these things her whole adult life. I try to describe the feeling that wearing a garter belt and stockings provides me and wondered if it ever just becomes "underwear". To her it does she says, other than she did not wear garters/stockings just pantyhose. At least she sees the irony in the fact that I have worn a garter belt and stockings more than she has at this point and finds it funny.

This is bringing back memories for me, when I was about 11, when I had the house to myself for awhile, I'd put on a bra, dress and pair of heels that I found in the attic, and also a long white nightgown. I had some fun playing dress up when nobody else was home.

Speaking of the classic lingerie. Did anyone else fall in love with wearing a panty girdle with nylons and a slip?
The feeling of the stocking tops tugging at that garters as a constant reminder you were wearing nylons plus the feel of the slip gliding over all the nylon fabric. OMG!

I know exactly what you mean Janice (and of course, all of you other girls with the same experience)!
I was 5 or 6 years old and my first foray into dressing was borrowing from my mother's lingerie drawer. I would wear her white silk half slip and walk around the bedroom and loved the way it swished around my legs. I was forever hooked. To this day, there are few things more gratifying to me than wearing a pretty skirt and feeling the flow around my body.
I am definitely a girly girl!

To the question, started enjoying/wear women's clothing, have to say around 1956-59, soft to the touch, feels good to the skin, like it.
Over the years, never spoke about this subject to anyone, except when I told my wife back in 75.
Over the years, she understands, but has her limits, to which I agree with all the way.
What drew me here was, reading the posts and threads on the forum and have never felt more connected to what is being talked about or the sincere thoughts by the members here.
To date, I have never been open to anyone, other than my wife over the years. And the time period that I grew up in was a very different era, when people had different views and emotions concerning this subject.
So thanks for the openness and real private thoughts about of who we really are and at the same time would like to say, hello. :)

My first dressing was at about 5 or 6 year old. My sister was at school and I'd have a half day. I'd go to my older sister's room and wear her yellow nightie. Later I'd try some of my mother's things to look more like a lady and less like a little girl until my sister got to her teens.

Oh I so wish I started young! My first inkling that I was "different" was when I was 10. My older half sister was visiting and we all went down the beach one hot evening. Anyway, she started talking about a magazine she had started reading - COSMOPOLITAN. I had started to notice this magazine at the local shop - just how beautiful the covergirls were. This I think started my life long love affair with this magazine and my later addiction to wearing lingerie. I was a very late bloomer wearing lingerie. It started by being inspired by the beautiful lingerie editorials in COSMO. I started wearing pantihose. Then, in my mid-20's, I looked after a workmates house for a couple of months. I slept in the master bedroom and started wearing his wife's satin slips in bed whilst reading my COSMO's. I went through major denial at times - even getting rid of my most precious and loved COSMO collection - huge mistake! Eventually, I caved into accepting who I really am and have built up a huge collection of COSMO's and wear lingerie as often as I can. My wife never knew about this until recently when I accidently left a COSMO outside on a table - OOP's! So, I had to reveal all! This was a huge shock to her. She's accepted me reading and collecting COSMO, but just can't handle the lingerie wearing. I can do it when she's not around. At least she knows about it now. The burden of this long time secret was killing me! I just wish I will be able to wear lingerie in front of her one day without her freaking out! I have tried wearing make up and a wig, but can't get into this yet. I adore wearing high heels and stockings or pantihose as well. I have two pairs of silicon breastforms which I love wearing at times - really helps me feel so feminine! I do wish I had breasts. I just have to wear silk or satin everyday. I do have a silk robe (women's) which my wife lets me wear - not quite as good as a slip, but at least it is feminine. We talk about my cross-dressing and I hope she is slowly understanding who I am inside. Reading COSMO for years has taught me so much about women and she has benefitted greatly from this over the years.

I was eight or 10 when something, I don't what, drew me to my mother's closet. I got into a cotton day dress with a wide skirt, pulled on her only petticoat underneath it, and slipped on her (too big) three inch, black patent leather heels. Then I went to her vanity and put on her Revlon Cherries in the Snow lipstick. A bit later I took off the dress and petticoat and stepped into her yellow silk evening gown with a big bow in the back...Now, 50 years, later, the very memory makes me a bit faint....When I put on her lipstick and looked in the mirror, something said, This is right. This is me. This is who you are..."

I use to stay at my aunts house on the weekends to do odd jobs around her house. The slip was laying over a chair and dared me to feel it. I did and have not stop wanting to dress, such a feeling.
