Minutes ago I was typing a reply when the door bell rang, so I'm fully dressed, lipstick , earrings and necklace but no wig .
My Kaliko dress is just on the Knee wearing my forms and 3.5" wedges .

I need that delivery from Amazon, deep breath open the door saying you may be in for a shock, that's OK came the reply in very broken English, he gave a quick glance at my legs and boobs, smiled and scuttled off down the drive !

So that's my second delivery man notch on my belt !!

Today I am i essence my wife. I'm here in her office dressed in one of her office style uniform(this is one in my size) just as she is but she is at the National Peanut Festival to check on one of her entries. So, I have already had Fed-Ex and the mailman make deliveries without their ever noticing me picking them up from the drop point. I have her vehicle and doing the secretarial duties she would be doing today. I can't run her machines. She just called to check on how "she" was doing in the shop. I do luv it!

Now on here n her persona, on coffee break, no one or anything else happening so the stress relief is Fantastic!

I don't know about the UK, but here in the US the UPS guys don't wait around. They just throw down a package, ring the bell and run back to their truck.
I don't wear makeup around the house. So I keep a pair of jeans, pullover shirt and some step in shoes on the couch, in case of any surprise visitors. Got it down to 30 seconds!:heehee:

Why dress and not wear your wig? Why not throw on the wig before you answer the door?

The delivery people around here ring the bell but leave the packages at the door. Sometimes they put them right in front of the door so I have trouble opening the door to get them.

I don't answer the door dressed. This is a "suggestion" from my wife.

To answer why I wasn't wearing a wig , I only wear one when in full makeup, so no wig just lipstick !

In the UK most delivery companies require a signature which is usually done on a touch pad using a stylus .

I've very rarely worn a dress but the Kaliko one caught my eye in a charity shop, it's a stretch jersey material with a low cut neckline and just on the knee. It's the most comfortable dress I've worn and as I shave chest and legs everyday it gives me a very passable and dare I say an attractive look , my legs looked smooth and I was showing some cleavage. It's funny how some items of clothing can give you confidence and that's how I feel in this dress, that's probably why I was given the once over by the delivery man !

Teresa, What a pity that you were not wearing a wig then you may have got a different reaction. Perhaps he may have thought you were a bit odd......Perhaps you should always wear a wig if you know that you are expecting a delivery.

I must have lost count the times that I have gone to the door fully dressed to sign for a delivery. My favourite delivery person is a girl from`Hermes`. She always stops for a chat.

I do much the same . I basically now live as a woman at home.

i have no family in the area and at my age, most of my friends have either died or moved away . So I have few visitors to my apartment.
Also, at my age I can fend sleeping if i want.

i have even told some people that i was lounging around in my underwear (watching TV) and had to get dressed to answer the door.
When you get older (I'm now 68) you can get away with a lot. :)

I have the most prestigious job of being a pizza delivery expert at night. Once in a while I encounter a cd. No big deal....as long as they tip me well, I won't say a word to anyone. No tip though and I let everyone back at the store know. Standard procedure. Tip your delivery people well and we'll be nice. Wear what ever you want!
