Terri Femside
05-08-2024, 02:03 AM
I chose Terri for a few reasons... It's the way my mother would have spelled had I been born a girl.
My very loving and supportive wife thought that it fit my feminine personality very well. And neither of us would have to learn a whole new name ...just a new lifestyle. I am still new to fully opening up to others about my CDing and I have soooooo many questions.
Thank you all for being here for us newbies.

I chose Sandy (online Sandy 777 ) I chose the first name of my first GF in grade school. She was sweet, a little bit of a Tom Boy and similar to me now as a CD. Good memories with her young and exploring everything.

My youngest daughters mother questioned me about my dressing. To my surprise she said she felt that some of her things were moved, even though ever so slightly. She asked are you wearing my clothes when I'm at work. I admitted that I had occasionally done it. She said it was ok with her! She just wanted to see. She then went through her things and gathered a fair amount of clothes for me. Everything I could have wanted. Bras, panties, dresses, skirts, shorts, pants, tops, etc. She bought me my first pair of heels and was first to put false nails on me. She would do my makeup. I already had long hair. She would style it. She named me Amber, because my hair was a strawberry blond color. Yes natural. She would call me her beautiful Amber. We separated when my daughter was 3, for non cd reasons. I liked they name and kept it. Thanks for letting me share.

I wanted to name our daughter Samantha and call her Sami for short. My wife vetoed it, so I adopted the name.

Samantha1
05-31-2024, 07:24 PM
I'm leaning towards either Samantha because I love the word play or to Priscilla because I was friends with a girl by that name when I was much younger.

Marketa
06-16-2024, 10:17 AM
A good GG friend is Mark?ta and I also like the name in general, so I'm using it. Even though due to technical reasons on this forum I'm Marketa, without those fancy schmancy thingies above some of our letters.

If I had been born a girl, I would have been named Heather Marie.

I’ve always disliked my male name, so I wanted a femme name that was as different from my male name as possible. Cynthia is nothing like my male name. I considered calling myself Susan, but there were already some Susans on the board, so I chose something different. Sort of.

It is a long story but the short version is that I had tried on several names early on and nothing seemed to fit or feel natural. Years ago I was sort of outed by a man, Jim, who was older than me. He didn't judge and actually made me feel safe and secure. He supported and encouraged my dressing, even arranging salon settings and waxings and pedicure and manicures through his friends. He would have me to his house dressed and we would have dinner and wine and chat. One night he proposed we go out to a club that hosted female impersonator shoes, me dressed to the nines. I felt so special and beautiful and free. From there we went to a nearby club where he asked me to dance. Again, cloud nine. This whole time, he had called me by my male name, Terry. But at one point he was walking me back from the dance floor, holding my hand, when another gentleman stopped him, obviously a friend. He asked who this "beautiful creature" was. Jim, without hesitation, said this is Kimberly, isn't she beautiful! And so Kim I became.

I choose what was closest to my male name. So I am Roberta Joan.

I just joined this forum, and this is my first post.

Until recently I never really thought much about it. When I decided it was something that was missing, I struggled. Every time a name popped up it reminded of a person I already knew. Eventually settled on Sophia because if felt soft, welcoming and femm. Qualities I enjoy in others and aspire to. It also doesn't hurt to be reminded of how gorgeous Sophia Loren was...

My wife gave me my name, we went through the alphabet thinking of names for each letter until it was decided Penny.

DavynaCD
07-21-2024, 02:27 AM
I toyed with several names. I initially wanted something a bit naughty, a bit sexy. Names like Candy came to mind (not being disparaging to those who are called Candy which is a perfectly nice name). In the end I went with a variation of my own name, for fear someone would be shouting Candy at me across the room and I would not realise they were talking to me, lol. So it ended up being Davyna.

07-22-2024, 08:48 PM
It is just as good as "Candy" I went on a slant of my male name. through the years, many people did not know how to pronounce my name due to a silent 'S' in the middle. So I picked one frequently used on me.

Chloe75
08-13-2024, 05:02 PM
I adopted my name from Smallville character (let's not dwell on the actress's issues), Chloe Sullivan. I always like the name Chloe and there is something from a childhood book that I read which had a girl named Chloe from the UK. I don't remember the book and at times I think it was just a kid's imagination. I also liked the name because I never knew anyone in my life who had the name. So, I could adopt it as uniquely me.

Nice Name choice.

Hannah878
08-20-2024, 09:58 AM
I started with a list of names I liked (there was an April, Imogen, Annabel, and others, including Hannah). So I gave them a try and finally settled on Hannah, for a few reasons; first, I didn't know any other Hannahs so it wouldn't remind me of anyone else; second, I liked the soft, simple sound of it; and third, and possibly the most nerdy reason, it's palindromic, which I like :)

Giddy
08-27-2024, 06:04 AM
After toying with a few options for a few years, and just sticking with ?Giddy? for lack of anything that feels right, I think I?ve found my ideal femme name at last.

My legal / birth name starts ? G G x x x x x x x

A short while ago, I received a letter through the post in which my name had been misspelled.
It was addressed to G G Loveland.

Suddenly, it felt as if I had been given my ideal femme name? first name and last?

Gigi Loveland !

I think I?ll still keep the name Giddy as a nickname and forum name though!

Hello, thanks for this great thread,
it's interesting to read how each one has a good and very specific reason for choosing a name...

At the beginning of the comeback of my crossdressing behavior, ten years ago, I chose for myself the name Naomi because I was a great fan of Naomi Campbell. I also felt a kind of rebellious urge to go against the gender norm society had put upon me since childhood. I was reading the books of Naomi Klein at the time. Naomi helped me cope with all the difficult questions I was facing regarding my gender and what I wanted for my life and for my future.

After a few years, things went smoother, and I felt the desire to go for something more delicate, more tender, like Vanessa, and other names I went through...
With time, I was also less and less interested by the thought of having a completely new feminine identity, and tried to build girl names around my boy name, but it wasn't really satisfying...

This was years ago, and for many reasons my crossdressing habits evolved into something lighter and less time consuming. I stopped giving myself a girl name...

Until several months ago...I came back to the joy of crossdressing, processed it with my therapist, realized that for me it was like a marvelous dream...Which in French is translated by "Reve"...And out of this dream, suddenly one night, or one morning, I woke up with the name Rose...Like a flower opening itself, reopening...
And I should say, I'm a great fan of the character Rose in the show Two and a half men ! Except for her dark sides :)

The rose is also a magnificent symbol, pointing at all directions, and standing for the idea of successful transformation in the history of alchemy...

So Rose it is !!! And I'm very happy with this one, more than with any other before.

Thanks for your attention, all the best to you all,

Rose

I went with Nicole. I just always loved the name.

Mercedes
09-14-2024, 04:02 PM
The first, well only, female friend I told about my crossdressing helped me pick it out. My boy name also starts with M so it seemed a good fit. I am just not sure I look like a Mercedes but I aspire to.

Georgia Rose

My female name is a play on my second given name which has quite a family history. The first part is the feminine of my second given name and the second relates to references I saw/heard relating to the first word in music/literature. It is a name I'm very comfortable with.

Katty Anne

Catherine-Anne is what my parents named me when they thought I was a girl. Turns out they were right.

Verity
09-24-2024, 08:32 PM
It took me a long while to find my female name. When my wife asked if this newly discovered side of me wanted to be called something different I began to think it through. I made a list of names that interested me, but one jumped out right away, Verity. As Veritas is truth, Verity is me, living my bi gender truth as my more authentic self. It feels good to finally let her out :)

Evelyn37

I chose Evelyn because it sounds old fashioned and I like old fashioned lingerie.

Sabine7
09-30-2024, 04:43 AM
My wife has accidentally revealed my female name recently. This way it became my real and "legal" name I identify with as a part of my female nature.

Frannie7
09-30-2024, 09:31 PM
I originally went with Frannie because I was getting a makeover at janet's Closet and was asked for my femme name. I said "What?" I had never heard that term before. I thought of the first thing that came to mind (similar to my dad's name) Later when I had more time to think, I wasn't really happy with that. My friend agreed so I chose the name Donna because she was one of two twin sisters who died just after being born.

Shelli
10-26-2024, 01:33 PM
My name, Shelli, came to me instantly and without hesitation. It just kind of rolled right on out of my mouth the moment I considered that I would need to have a name for this wonderful gurl who lives inside of me. I am sure it has a lot to do with the fact that I love walking on beaches.

Aroara Xanthemae
10-27-2024, 11:12 AM
Xanthemae is a name that came out of my thoughts when I realized that I need a name and my wife said that it sounds like a name that I use in the video games that we play cause I can easily come up with odd avatar names and Aroara is a beautiful name that just sounds right and I got it from a small town we drive through when we go on vacation I changed the spelling a bit

GinaLester

Nala

It doesn't really mean much to me but it was the name I gave a female video game character once in world of Warcraft decades ago, lol

candice_cain
11-08-2024, 02:50 PM
I chose Candice Cain as a slightly more refined version of candy cane. I always like the name Candy.

lance150
11-15-2024, 12:30 PM
I did not choose a girl name because my reason for xdressing is not about wanting to be a woman. I just like to kinky. I hope this doesn't offend those who go all out with wigs, makeup, and stilletos.

jenny555
11-16-2024, 12:36 PM
I choose Jenny as my male name was John.

Chloe Servante
11-18-2024, 04:38 PM
Hey everyone! New to the forum. Hope I've read the rules correctly and that I'm allowed to post to this thread...forgive me if I've misstepped...

My female name is Chloe.. I even came up with a surname for myself, which is Servante (SER-van-TAY). There should be an accent ague over the final "e," so it's Servante. There is also an umlaut over the "e" in Chloe, as shown in the first sentence. So it's Chloe Servante. I decided that adding some accent marks to my name would make it even more unique, special, and exotic.

I decided on Chloe. because I've always taken a strong liking to it; it's a short, sweet, and sexy female name in my opinion and it perfectly matches my female personality/identity.

Crossdressing, by itself, is already extremely rewarding. But as someone who likes to share his crossdressing with romantic partners, having a female name that I can hear my partner use/call me makes my crossdressing experience so much more exciting.

Anyways, this is my first post on this forum. I really would enjoy becoming active on here and networking with other people like me. I don't have many people who I can talk about my crossdressing with, so this forum seems like the perfect outlet for my self-expression.

Thanks for reading/listening.

EDIT: This forum doesn't support the accent mark characters in my name. So when you read this it will be confusing. Womp womp womp.

Stacy Darling
11-25-2024, 08:07 AM
After being "ME" for such a long time and not having a name seemed weird to some. Then at a drag show in port my mate Patsy said you need a gurly name. I ad Libed it and said STACY and make it MISS STACY.
Then the rest evolved, I found that Stacy was from Anastacia which is in some cultures rebirth.
Ms Darling as I'm known is my surname, and that is because of my love CANDY! Candy Darling.
my middle name is pretty and binds all together,

When you want to be who you are, You cant be called by a gender specific name.

I chose Melanie after one of the most beautiful people inside and out. She is an amazing person. I can only hope some of her magic remains attached to the name.

Mariangheller
12-09-2024, 03:10 PM
I came with this name since it sounds very close to my male regular name and same initials ?Marian Gheller?. I do feel that it fits me well and at the very few people that I have meet tell me that it is a beautiful name, so it make me feel good of course =)

Kari D
12-19-2024, 09:57 AM
I chose Kari because it sounds very similar to my first name. Very easy for my partner to switch to when I?m in ?Kari? mode. I love getting up in the morning and watching the sun rise so Dawnsen as a last name seemed appropriate.

I started as Janey given by a gay friend but it evolved into rosemary Jane as I felt I needed a middle name
