Right over left...and it starts getting uncomfortable in a certain area if you know what I mean. I've noticed I've been doing it more and more in order to feel girly inside.

I switch fairly often, because of discomfort.

Always right over left for me.
Fortunately (I guess, maybe)
Mother Nature has not placed any great obstacles in the way. Lol.

At the ankles mostly ,sometimes both, have to switch cause of the blood flow.

With long legs and relatively thin thighs, I can cross either way comfortably. I can also wrap one around the other, so left foot is on left having right leg gone around left leg fully. Pics if you want to see ...

I go one way until my legs get numb, and then switch.

Always left over right. I try the other way but it never feels like my right hip will relax

Left over right for me. And I dress left. Hmmm.

Okay wow never really thought about it and after reading this I had to seat down and see. I guess naturally I am left over right, but I know I switch back and forth,. Kind of frigidity.

Left over right the other way is not comfortable and i cross as fully???? Who knows why???

Janine cd
12-09-2015, 10:57 PM
Right over left, usually at the ankles. If I'm crossing my legs at the thighs, I will be careful to pull my skirt over my knees.

Left over right always...in guy mode ankle on knee though...any more and the mascara and nail polish would probably out me 😂

Left over right but sometimes right over left. The most amazing thing to me is it just happening naturally to me now.

I'm left over right at the knee of course. Or, my knees are together and slanted to the left side.

Martina

I'm right over left, it feels more natural to me. I have tried left over right but my foot projects out more and is not as comfortable.

I go both ways with equal comfort. I have done it for so long that resting an ankle on the knee is awkward but I do it some when I need to go under cover as a male.

Mostly right over left and I have been doing it all my life in both modes.

There is something wrong with me as I feel no discomfort.

I'm mostly a left over right and when doing just my ankles right over left strange I guess

Right over left Ive tried left over right but I believe I have more flexibility the other way since I can have them cross longer than the other way. Since exercising and stretching more I can handle a bit more left over right. As a guy I do the same and use the ankle over knee (right ankle over knee)

Jonni Lin

Both but more right over left.

12-10-2015, 06:51 PM
Right over left when crossed at the knee, left ankle resting on right knee when crossed that way. When at the ankles, left over right.

Left over right about 2/3 of the time and right over left 1/3. Anyone do any stretching exercises to make it more natural? I do.

Almost always left over right. Can only do right over left for short lengths of time.

Crossing legs looks femme, but it can squeeze the girls.

Vintage4sarah
12-11-2015, 06:09 AM
Almost always right over left. When the male parts are placed correctly, they do not get squeezed. I do find crossing my legs so feminine especially when wearing nylons.

Most of the time cross from right to left. I have always found it more comfortable to cross my legs in a feminine manner. But then again I have always had a lot of feminine characteristics.

It is interesting to me how one fairly innocuous motion can define an image such as femininity but I find myself fascinated by sitting with my legs crossed, right over left every time I have on stockings or hose. The feel, the look or something must be etched in my subconscious.

Here we go again.... But quickly for the record, I cross my right over my left more, but do cross both legs over the other at the knee. I didn't even think which I did more then crossed both legs to see which one I tend to do more, and I am not sure why my right goes over the left more.

Crossing the legs at the knee.... in many other countries or areas around the globe, this is not really much of an issue as to gender influence. Good gosh almighty, I am a BIG James Bond fan. Sean Connery, in the early movies on at least a few occasions sat crossed legged at the knee. He was at the time, probably the biggest symbol of masculinity. Now, stop the presses, a guy is sitting cross legged. Women do sit this way a lot.... because it is comfortable, I think for many people period. Wearing dresses and skirts it is convenient and more comfortable than holding your legs together.

Now we are living in this ridiculous paranoid culture (in the west) and now many men will never sit in a way that is simply comfortable. In a way that up until very recently had NO BEARING on looking either masculine or feminine. I sit cross legged because of comfort. It is a comfortable way for me to sit, so I do. current craziness be damned, I am going to sit comfortably.

I go both ways, but I'm more comfortable with right over left. I slide my left foot beyond my left hip and then cross so my legs are at a 45-degree angle. God, I love that look! Crossed legs in pantyhose...drives me wild!! I love being my own dream girl!!

I keep them together with my hands on my lap when I am in a skirt though.

Same with me. I always crossed my legs "like a girl," even when I had no clue that I was TG.

Most of the time im left over right but if im sitting in a chair angled at the tv ill change to right over left

flatlander_48
01-06-2016, 01:35 PM
Maybe 90% right over left, but rarely for long. I have large thighs due to cycling and that makes it difficult.

Crossing the legs at the knee.... in many other countries or areas around the globe, this is not really much of an issue as to gender influence.

In many Asian countries you are supposed to have BOTH feet on the floor. To not do that would be impolite, so crossing your legs doesn't enter into it.

01-06-2016, 09:41 PM
I've always done right over left, feels more natural. Even when in guy mode I have always crossed my legs - I guess I was always Linda inside my entire life! Crossing my legs feels like the natural thing to do.

ShelbyDawn
01-06-2016, 10:41 PM
I go both ways. I find it really depends on how I am facing in the chair I am in. If I am angled more to the left, the right leg goes on top and vice versa...
I have noticed that with time, if I try to place my ankle on my knee, my leg will slowly slide down until my legs are fully crossed.

I will be the first to admit that more than I'd like, that old fashioned 'man spread" does sneak in. :)

I'm right over left, its difficult for me because my hips are narrow and don't allow a comfortable crossover.

binair10
01-07-2016, 09:37 AM
I used to be able to double cross right over left. Used to love to do the double cross. Put it down to an age thing. But, I now just do right over left, as I find that it is the most comfortable.

I can't cross at the knee, so it is legs together and crossed at the ankles.

Lily Catherine
01-07-2016, 01:25 PM
I cross my legs all the time, both at the knee and at the ankle. It's been in me since I was a little boy. I say boy because I've been doing this even before I crossdressed.

Tina Davis
01-07-2016, 03:56 PM
Right over left has always been more comfortable for me, although I can do both. As others have said, doing it in stockings is pure heaven! When I am working at home and dressed, I will almost always cross my legs this way under the desk.

Krystenw
01-07-2016, 09:54 PM
It depends on which way I sit down and how long my skirt/dress is.
I most generally just cross my ankles.

Diane Smith
01-08-2016, 12:11 AM
I just realized today that in boy mode, I usually cross left over right, and in girl mode, it's right over left, at the knee, occasionally with a double cross at the ankle.

I'm sure this is a cultural thing... and it was begging for a pic or two... :tongueout:

I cross my legs boy or girl mode in a very similar way and this is common practice in Europe... don't you think this is simply more elegant for a man? Or has elegance been totally eclipsed by machismo and squatting like a gorilla...? (probably...) So, normally left over right...

255836

But I will change legs if sitting for a while to keep comfortable - and only ever in girl mode would I 'entwine' or pretzel...

255835

You have to be naturally flexible to get the toe around your ankle... :battingeyelashes:

Right over left most of the time.

MarciManseau
01-08-2016, 09:21 AM
I do either, and I usually switch back and forth if I'm sitting for a long time. Maybe that's because I'm bisexual, and bipedal :)

Krystenw
01-08-2016, 12:01 PM
Like I said before, it depends on how I sit down.
If I were skinnier, It would be a lot easier.
I have tucked for so many years that I have no issue with any of that,
I'm just such a big girl they don't cross that easily.

A Note On Etiquette:

As some may know, I've had various makeover sessions with Phoebe Cross. Early on one of the things that she told me was that when you cross your legs, your feet should be pointed in the same direction. I find that I don't naturally do that, so I need to remind myself.

I am trying to get to the point I can cross and tuck the crossed foot behind the un-crossed leg.

Does that even make sense? It's v feminine if you can pull it off...

I do that all the time, with either leg. I think it helps that I'm very slim and I've always been very flexible. And it does make me feel very feminine :)

I agree with Katey about this being a cultural thing. Certainly, where I come from there's no 'significance' to a man sitting cross-legged.
Me.. Mostly left over right, crossed at the knee - in both modes. But depending on my mood, time of day, phase of the moon, whatever could be right over left and /or crossed at the ankles!

Acastina
01-12-2016, 04:20 PM
Usually right over left, in part due to arthritis in right hip. The same in girl mode and boy mode; not self-conscious about looking girly.

I wonder if it's related to right-handedness. How many right-over-lefties are RH and vice-versa?

Gina Torres
01-12-2016, 10:16 PM
Right over left, but hardly ever cross them. Crossing my legs hurts. Maybe I'm doing in wrong.

nikkiwindsor
01-13-2016, 05:50 AM
Hi Gina...I'm new to the forum. Where does it hurt because when crossing your legs lady-like, it shouldn't hurt if properly tucked. Also, it helps to angle your legs a little bit to the side and then cross them. If you look at some pics of cis-girls with their legs crossed I think you'll see what I'm trying to explain...hope it helps! Nikki

Hi Acastina (that's a neat name), I'm primarily left-handed but a little bit ambidextrous. I prefer right over left. Nikki

I cross mine both ways. I have crossed mine since I can remember and used to have to make myself not do it if around all men just so i would not be teased but now days it seems like a lot of men are crossing them too. Maybe its because man spreading is considered offensive lol.

You do look very pretty. Those are the first full body photos I have seen of you.

I'm a right over left girl myself
