I stopped in a a local wine 'n spirits for a bottle of red wine dressed in 'tween mode (ladies suede hat, skinny jeans, foundation, mascara, nude lip gloss) and went to the counter. The clerk was a man of about 60 with long grey hair (think 60's rocker type) and he rang up my purchase and then looked me up and down and said 'ya know, I can do one better...tap tap tap on the screen..I gave ya the seniors discount...most people don't mind 😉'

I'm sure no spring chicken but I'm a few moons from looking like a senior 😉 so I thought, is he gay, very accepting of 'US'...or maybe one of US? I bet I just met one of US...thoughts?

Being a senior myself, I would have taken him up on the offer. Even if you don't consider yourself a senior, it doesn't hurt to take advantage of the benefits.

I was just in a local shop and the young clerk asked me how old I was.
"How old do I look?" I coyly asked back.

It's hard to tell anything other than he offered you a discount because of something he sees in you. I'd continue going to him to see what he says next. You can always say no and hope he doesn't begin to overcharge you after that.
