How long does it take you to go from "man" mode to being satisfied with your look? Lately seems to take me an hour, with a shower and shaving, makeup, outfit and hair etc to get where I can walk out of my room and feel "right"- thanks!

I also enjoy the whole process and usually don't get in a big hurry. Most of the time it takes me 1 to 2 hours, usually about 1 1/2 hours. Kinda depends on how fast I want to leave.

It takes about an hour, the same time as it takes me to get dressed up in a suit after being in work clothes.

I also take 1 hour because I can't wear make up yet. The reason it is taking so long because I like Showering :D

It has been said that any woman should take no more than about 15 minuses to apply her full make up and one should get into a routine to accomplish this.

About the only thing that would make many CDs take longer is covering their "beard shadow"........ assuming that they keep their legs, etc shaved as GG gals also have to do.

FWIW...... I have known GGs who took well over and hour or so to get ready for a date etc.
So, CDs are not necessarily alone in this . :)

Its about an hour for me too. I think half of the time is adjusting my petticoats until they look just right!!

It takes me four hours for a complete transformation. Really. But I don't mind as I also enjoy the process.

If I have everything assembled and ready to go, one hour.

If I only have to put on one of my "special faces" and no makeup, 45 minutes!

About an hour for me as well. I also enjoy the process but I don't like to waste too much time because my dressing time is usually limited and I want to revel in the finished product as long as possible ;)

From shower and shave to ready to go out the door about 1/2 hour. Helps to have your outfit and "look" already picked out.:battingeyelashes:

To do it right about 2 hours

90 minutes, but ONLY if I have already decided what to wear and have it laid out. Indecision could add another half hour to the process.

Usually an hour will do it, but sometimes the hair needs extra work. Makeup application has become very routine, since I've been doing it for more than 30 years.

Too bloody long. I'm a good two hours sloth-speed girl. My old boat race needs plenty of love and attention to even begin to look decent.

A bit like Stacey, outfit choice definitely adds to my time line though.

Well oddly enough it takes me an hour to get ready every day. Showering and shaving, teeth, contacts, moisturizer, hair takes the longest. Omg, how much longer would it take if I had to struggle with make-up. I remember a few years ago, unshaven legs, crewcut hair, wake up and be ready to go in under 15 minutes. I will never hassle any women for how long it takes her to get ready.

If I include the shower/shave time about an hour.
If I've already shaved and just doing makeup and dressing I can be ready in half that time.

Guy mode takes me 30 mins, sometimes 45. lol. Girl mode, 2+ hours if I have to shave and do nails and makeup.

About an hour also unless I decide to do my nails then add another 20 mins which includes toenails also.

Total about an hour. But thanks to super sensitive face. I need to shower and shave about two hours in advance then the paint job. Sigh.

2 1/2 for me but I'm SLOW at makeup lol. Still trying to figure "eyes" out, thank goodness for my wife she saves me :)

I usually don't bother with makeup, so about 5-10 minutes. With makeup, 30-45 minutes.

Shower, shave, makeup and dressed about an hour. And then nearly as long to sort out my purse, handbag, keys, spare lippy, coat............ I don't understand why it takes me so long

Over an hour anyway. Shaving, taking my bath, makeup, and especially dealing with nails, that takes the longest but I enjoy all of it too. Then.....I have to decide what to wear, lol.

Bree :)

From shower to April, an hour. I gotta shower, shave, pick out an outfit, do make up, brush the rats nest that is Aprils wig, and put it all together. I'd like to think it turns out alright haha.

I don't use make up, so for me, about five minutes. My man mode is already showered and shaved.

About 90 minutes. Getting quicker with experience.

It takes my wife two to three hours. Same for my daughter. Both are getting slower with experience.

Generally about an hour including shaving. Interestingly I use less makeup than when I first started dressing. People told me less was more and they were right.

A good two hours if starting from scratch - nails, full makeup etc. - and if I want to be presentable and convincing...well, convincing myself anyway.

For me 2 hours at least.

I wish it was less, sometimes it takes me 30 minutes just to figure out what I am going to wear.

It takes far longer if I'm going out in public, probably an hour. If I'm just staying around the house, perhaps 20 minutes because I've showered the night before. Around the house I don't bother with eye makeup, just a bit of beard cover and light lipstick.

I'm getting better, was over two hours. As I spend more time working the make up, I'm getting better. Since I keep the rest done regularly, I only need to shave and make up my face. Still though at least an hour to hour and half.

No more than hour as I try to predetermine outfit and make up. Being in the closet gives you the ability to visualize time

Depends on where I am going. I can transition male to female mode in about 15 or 20 minutes to simply hang around the house. If going out, 45 minutes or more, depending on where I am going.

About 40 minutes once I've found what I decided to wear, Wardrobes a bit full. shower, shave face and legs, make-up, dress, jewellery and paint nails. TaDa!

For me its about an hour to two depending on my mood. Shower, shave, and smell is a must for me. Usually a very pretty smelling moisterizer just sets the tone, then its a matter of slowing down and just enjoying the process, or just getting it done to move on to other things I have planned. Some of my most fun days are spent just taking my time, getting "dolled up", and working on new looks with no plan at all. Just Because.....

I've actually timed the process lately, out of curiosity. Assuming none of my routine maintenance is involved (e.g., my daily sessions with the tweezers to pluck every pluckable facial hair), half an hour. That's shower; wash, dry, and curl hair; makeup; clothes; jewelry; smile.

I don't fuss with outfits; mix and match the usual stuff.

For my everyday androgynous looks, maybe fifteen minutes.

About 45 minutes, takes long to look cute!

As I am fairly new at doing makeup, it takes me a good 2 hours. False eyelashes are a challenge and if I rush, I end up with a real mess. Slow and steady works for me.

Not counting shower/shave which I do every day, makeup/hair takes me about 15-20 minute. I also don't count getting dressed since it's just jeans and a top mostly. I'm not high maintenance in the slightest.

Roughly two hours.
