Hi unless they know you are a cd'er and are comfortable about it don't ask.
if they are ok about it all pay a compliment about it and see if they offer you a chance to try it on

I am a firm believer in the old saying "neither a lender or borrower am I". If you really like the outfit, why don't you just ask her where she got it from, then you can get one for yourself.
