First, sorry this is so long. This week has me kind of on overload.
So wow it is almost Friday and at this point I am really so much more excited then scared it is amazing (getting a makeover at Sephora Friday morning). Somehow I haven't chickened out yet and cancelled. I have even gone out and bought an outfit (thanks to the feedback on here otherwise I'd be in drab...Realize this will be a first for me), yesterday I went and got a pair of denim jeggings. I couldn't find a decent top (everything just made me look ridiculous). I figured I could borrow a top from my wife, we both though because of her boobs (she is naturally gifted) but we were wrong. So I went out again today and came back with three tops (I told my wife she could choose the top but one was too over the top, but cute for home). She picked the sweater top and it is adorable. So this week has already been really big for me already, I have gone out and tried things on at two stores and no one batted an eye! My wife was really surprised because I would send her pics for input. She told me she was really proud of me :-)
Then today the world seemed determined to screw with this (really come on I haven't chickened out yet so why has the universe decided to mess with me???). I had a company really interested in my resume and wanted me to come in. This issue I actually discussed with the wife but she felt my appointment was really important and if they wanted me they could wait until next week. And then work tried to say I needed to be in a meeting in the middle of my makeover (this after I got the Clark Griswold bonus earlier in the day), I didn't need to talk to the wife on this one, I said no I have commitments that I have made! They can deal. This was actually the impetus of the shopping for a top...retail therapy baby!
And then things turned again, my wife was talking to her best friend (who happens to be one of the three I talk to about Jamie). And the wife's BF said she was thinking she should go with me to be supportive. OMG!!!! I had talked with her, I will call her Lisa, last weekend and told her about my appointment and she was surprised but very supportive (honestly, knowing my wife couldn't come, I'd hoped she'd volunteer). My wife and Lisa continued chatting without me knowing what was said and then I got a note on my phone "I am going to pick you up at 10am" from Lisa. We had a discussion and I thanked her a lot and said " Do you think I can really do this?"....Her response was "Jamie has no choice." Wow, I guess I am all in and this is going to happen, I am still nervous but at so much more excited. Her last note was how excited to do this, I think Friday is going to be a lot of fun.
Side note: My wife, she is sick and wanted to crash, wanted me to watch a show that I watch but need to really focus on off the DVR. After all of this I said I can't possibly pay attention when I am thinking about Lisa coming with me! She laughed, rolled over and went to sleep.
