For awhile I grew my hair long, well past my shoulders, and had it highlighted mostly blond from my brown drab. As a musician, the ponytail was never out of place, and often, for a gig like an art opening, I would get it washed, blow dried and ironed out all straight, then have the ends trimmed straight. All for $8 at a hairdressing school. I remember the first time I had that done en femme, I felt soo cool, but that wasn't the best.
I've always loved curls, so I went back to that hairdressing school and had them set my long hair on those long spongy twisty rollers. After I was done under the dryer the director of the school said to me that one of the students wanted to re-do my makeup....no extra charge. She did it all, lashes and eybrow wax included without a mirror, and so when it was done and the amazing curls were un-rolled....well it was the most delightfully feminine treatment I've ever had. I nearly cried!
So what's your favourite story??
P.S> Hairdressing Academies.....excellent way to get great work done by open minded, enthusiastic young kids at a great price

I go to a beauty school for my haircuts and eyebrow waxes. They are open-minded and costs much less.:bs:

That's a lovely Fantasy. Like if I could win a lottery or get an inheritance or something and take a sabbatical....I'd stuff my male-drab moi into a closet instead and I'd head right to the salon! I'd be blonde again the next day. I wonder how long it would take to become boring...having to shave close every day, select a dress, perfume, earrings.....shoes and a new voice for the look I'd have...but a Marylin look would be first on line. It's basically just been me being my own best friend I finally did, shave
my body hair last night , today I went to the store and got , better
razors shick turbo mach-3, lotion, and tropical shaving cream, I plan
to wear more skirts this year , and tan my legs when I can. As soon
as I get my tax refund , I want to go and get my eyebrows done at a
salon. Possibly change my hair style add highlites, I like red, well see.
I get the most delight out just being called miss....., however my
womenhood is a one step at a time process, if I had all the finances
at my disposal then I could go wild, and I would too, but for now its
comming along slowly .........thats my story.LOL...........

Ranee,
I also love going to the beauty collage and getting my hair work done. I have not gone enfem as such but press things pretty hard as is. My last trip in I had my bra on and the young lady working on me massaged my shoulders. Now she did not say a thing to me, but her attitude seemed to subtally change (she got nicer I thought).
Hope you continue to enjoy the attition of those students I know I will at my beauty collage.
Hugs Krystal

 I too think back and believe my treatments at a few Beauty shops were amoung my most memorable events crossdressing. I have been married for 30 years and at the beginning my wife would play with my long hair and sometimes do it up for me in our own house, but after a few years i mostly just wore it long (arround mid back) usually in a ponytail or occasional braid. but my wife no longer liked my longer hair and was usually trying to get me to get rid of it. then the 80's came along and the man perm was popular, so i agreed to let her cut it and perm it for me. She did this for 4-5 years, but at first it was just to short for me and to fine a curl. After the first few times her doing it, i got her to let it be a little longer and she used a little larger perm rod and I got the effect to have it looking like a Womens longer softer curls and it looked better then most womens curly perms of the time. I loved it with the soft more obvious full curls, but she was always trying to get me to go back to the shorter more guy perm look. Finally I just started to let it grow a little longer and started going to a salon on my own. I had it styled in a much longer layered curly perm with several inches of curls going down my back. That was the way I liked it best and she always told me it looked nice, but to girlish, (but that is the way i liked it). For a while she even had her nice full head of blonde hair done in a similar curly perm style and we looked great out together. i loved it, she was just alright with it and always liked to try different things with her own hair. On beknown to her I always went to the salon in full fem atire. Just slacks, hose, blouse and light makeup, but she never knew that I went that way and I always changed back to guy mode before going home. She really got mad one day, when I came back with the long curly style all bleached out in a very light almost white blonde. She asked me if I was going to get a Dolly Parton Bra and dress to go along with it. I just cringed, but I should have told her then that I would have loved to. After a few weeks I toned it down to a more golden blonde shade and she was fine with it, it was very close to her own shade. I wore my hair long for most of our married life, after the perm phase I mostly just wore it at a long shoulder length with bangs and nicely layer just a little. My hair is naturally curly some and I have almost always been called Mam mistakenly (regularly) for most of my married life even when not dressed as one. Hope this was not to long but once I get started I just don'y know when to stop. Sorry Gals, Love this place:bs:
