I enjoy visiting various crossdressing chat rooms. These are not support groups or anything like that but I guess you could consider them as "adult" rooms. I enjoy them and have had some interesting encounters over the years. However, there have been occasions where I have been the victim of I guess you could say.... brutal verbal attacks. The reasons are unimportant because I can assure you I did nothing to warrant such a level of hostility. I can't be the only one, right?

Donna - That's what you subject yourself to on any chat room site.

I've had so-called admirers try to abuse me, not in a fun way. In a "you're really a guy, I can tell" way. (Yeah, in crossdressing-specific chatrooms) I've had folks just make snide comments, and I've had outright trolls out for teh lulz.
When people are attracted to something and they can't help it, I think it makes them feel better to tear down the object of their desire, sort of deconstruct their demons. Kind of rude and .....insolent.
Of course, I've had chat room humors too. Back on the old days of unrestricted, user-created yahoo chatrooms. (AWESOMES) I'd be cam-chatting with other CD's and we'd be complimenting each others outfits and chatting, and then you'd get the "hey I went out for the first time ever ...to my mailbox ....at midnight .....for five seconds. and I'm so excited, wanna see my cam?" only to find a live video of how 'excited' instead of how dressed , hehe.

In 6 years I've only ever been verbally shoved by 2 people in a chat room (I don't count pervy men who don't get what they want because I would lose count).
One is now banned, the other I have blocked.

I believe the stock reply is, "that looks like a penis only two inches shorter". That's why I don't post...sick of getting that reply .
Of course nobody deserves to be the recipient of general crap online, but that is the nature of the beast. If you get in the boxing ring, you can expect to get hit...apparently! :)

You have the power to <click> yourself out of the undesirable chats. Use it.

There's a huge number of people out there that are insecure, and can only feel better about themselves by putting others down. That will never change, at least in our lifetime.

I love it when someone tries picking on Sherry.
I can always out do them. Because I know all of her secret weaknesses!:heehee:

Chat room bullies are everywhere.
I just block them when they get nasty.

Hey Donna, and welcome.... been there done that... those chat rooms that you speak of are full of " posers and BS'ers.... the question you have to ask yourself is what are you looking for? Early on, I trolled those chat rooms looking for "like minded people" and ran into the same problems you speak of.....Now.. I choose to speak with other gurls, on the same journey as i am. I stopped looking for that "quick fix" or that one time discussion, that got me off. If you enjoy them, like you said, so be it...... but there's so much more out there, than chats with negative folks..... JMHO
